  1. If u took MOM any air u swallowed because of the straw should be gone. Yeah the shake was not a good food but it's a slider. It shouldn't give u pain. Maybe the stress from beating yourself up is affecting u? Glad ur going to talk to ur dr about it
  2. It is an app to journal your food, water and exercise. It counts cals for u. When u add friends, they can see how ur doing and u can encourage each other! I am Manda Gay if anyone wants to add me
  3. After u have ur surgery, u r super swollen. If u had a lot of fill in ur band u could have serious problems. I know we all think we had the surgery now let the weight loss begin but we actually need to know that it takes a while for the weight loss to start
  4. It's so normal!! Bcbs il is what I have. Took about a week for approval. Good luck!!
  5. I have not personally but there are people on here who have. They just take the fluid out of your band. U don't need to remove the band or anything drastic
  6. Also, I never throw up. And throwing up all the time is not normal
  7. I can eat salad with no problems. Just small bites and chew it really well. It is true u can't drink with ur meals and I was really stressed about that but turns out its no big deal. U just don't do it hehe. Sometimes I time it for half an hour (that's how long I wait after eating) and sometimes it's several hours after before I drink just because I forget or get busy or whatever. It's really not the big deal I was afraid it would be
  8. My ins paid everything except my ded which was 250
  9. The ladicain does sting a bit but nothing like a bee sting!!
  10. I wound up having three weeks pre op as well because of my appntmtnt being moved. In retrospect it was absolutely no big deal but at the time seemed like the end of the world!! Hang in there sweetie. Either way, U R SO CLOSE!!!
  11. I'm so sorry. I'm frustrated to but we have to just keep at it! It will get better
  12. 300-400 is way low!!
  13. I sought out a place to get my surgery, went to the seminar, did all my other paperwork then went to my reg doctor for Clearence. I just didn't think about starting with her, I don't know why but when I told her what I wanted, she was very supportive
  14. Mine was messed up a few days back but seems fine now...weird
  15. I believe at the seminar they just explain the band in great detail and answer any questions u might have. They also weighed me and did a personal consult when I went. Thats when they wrote up what all I would need to complete before surgery (ie. blood work, EKG, sleep study etc.) just a good time for information gathering
  16. I know it's hard because we have all these expectations from the band and we want results right now but please remember that this is a time for healing not weight loss. When u start getting ur fills (could be several fills out) that's when the weight will start coming off. It's so frustrating but try not to dwell on. Be good to u
  17. Sorry u r hurting. R u out of pain meds?
  18. It was an easy decision for me because the foreign object is reversible. They can't undo the bypass
  19. Just make sure if u haven't had a BM after three days u take some milk of magnesium. It will make u feel like a new person hehe. It will take several hours to work so don't double dose or u will have new issues
  20. I've been looking at the "moto actv" which does everything the fitbit does but it is also waterproof. I Want the waterproof because it will track cals burned from swimming. Has anyone used this?
  21. I drink out of a straw. It does help me to sip more plus I don't like putting my lips on glasses when I go out.
  22. Primer fluid at time of surgery just seems a little dangerous to me cause of all the swelling but what do I know hehe
  23. Thx bandluva. I waited 3 days to call the dr n he got on me for waiting so long. I kept thinking it would settle down. I never imagined it would b this annoying right out of the gate!
  24. U have had a fill already?
