  1. Before surgery I was not a fan of fish or tomatoes, now I love a good grilled fish and a slice of tomato. Who knows what else I will like.
  2. I found that the Pure Protien drinks and the EAS drinks are the only 2 that I can get down Pure Protien have any where from 23 to 35 gr. And EAS have 17 to 20 gr. Per drink. They aren't to bad. Walmart carries both now but I found them first at Drug Emporium. Also I can take a 16 oz glass of milk and add some powdered milk and some chocolate milk mix this give me 20 grams of protien.
  3. I was 4 wks PO and I went to a Cajun restaurant and had seafood gumbo no rice no shrimp just juice. Very little crab meat. That was the best tasting thing ever.
  4. I'm 21 days since surgery, I lost 11 lbs since surgery. That was last week and nothing this week. What really sucks is I have been following the diet very closely and no weight loss ugh. That's frustrating. Today I'm going to get on the treadmill and walk for 30 min. I was out of town all weekend and I had my protien drinks and mashed potatoes, soups yogurt and milk, so I'm not sure what happened. Oh well I will keep on this path. Has anyone else had this issue?
  5. I'm am so sorry for your loss, it's so hard to lose a loved one. I'm sending my prayers to you are your family.
  6. Last night I had instant mashed potatoes, I added some powdered milk to boost protien, not bad. I gues this morning I will make some cream of wheat. I am really going to try to follow the diet. I have never been good at following a diet for more than a few days, I get bored with the same foods very quickly. But I lost another lb so it will be worth it.
  7. Well today I saw my Dr and the Nut. They didn't get on to me very much for not following the diet. But the doctor was adamant about no solids until 6 weeks. Oh well. So today I made a vow to be good and follow the diet. But on a good note I'm down 44 lbs since the beginning of my journey and 14 since surgery woohoo!!!!! No I have to figure out how I am going to make it this weekend, I am leaving town for a wedding. I n Lousianna!!!!!! Ugh I guess I will be packing my food.
  8. Ok Kcage I feel like we went down same road, I could not stomach the clear liquids at all I would gag. So on the 6 day post op I went to soups. Creamed chicken, I even had a boiled egg, then I had scrambled egg for breakfast on 8 days. I tried to go back to the protien shakes but they wouldn't sit well. I have had cheese enchiladas no tortilla of course I had chicken nuggets, grilled. Lots of retried beans, egg drop soup, cottage cheese and this morning I had about 1/3 cup of oatmeal. I see my dr tomorrow and I'm sure he will be upset with me, but nothing I have eaten has harmed me. So wish me luck and he doesn't kill me
  9. Prayers to you and your family, I lost my father 9 mths ago. He was one of my reasons for this life changing surgery. I have found that kfc has really good grilled chicken too. Keep up the positive ways.
  10. I'm only 2 weeks post op. But I have a trip to Mexico planned in June and I plan on sitting on the beach with a margarita and relaxing, ha ha it may be the same drink all day but I plan on enjoying it. Usually I can down 10 to 12 drinks when on the beach so this will be different but fun anyway

  12. I'm only 2 weeks out and I am craving cucumbers and tomatoes, what's weird is I have never been a tomato eater. Now that's all I can concentrate on. I see my Dr Tuesday and I'm planning on asking for a rush on the next step to vegs. I have a trip planned for next weekend to South Lousianna so I hope I can have some crawfish while I'm there. Everything I've tried so far has been tolerated.
  13. I chewed it till it was liquid, more than 25 times. Today I'm being better broth and juice and Popsicles, but for some crazy reson I am hungry for cucumbers and radishes. Can't wait till I'm cleared for veggies. Next weekend I'm leaving town for a wedding and I hope I can have some semi normal food for the trip.
  14. Yes I had some fish last night I know am supposed to be on clears but I was having a bad day and my husband wanted to go out to eat, we ordered haddock and split it . I only ate about 4 to 5 bites. But it was good no problem at all
  15. Am 10 days post op and I get the hiccups after I ingest anything. It's not painful just annoying. I love itailain ices and they are the worst ones. any advice?
  16. I only had a quesy feeling once in the hospital and last night, but it only last a little while. Thank god it's not been bad. I prayed so hard that I wouldn't get sick and god answered my prayer.
