  1. Welcome to your first challenge!!!
  2. I would get to 202, then back up to 204, then down to 201, back up to 203, then down and up. It's the only time my weight has done this so far was the 200 mark. My body was just fighting to stay around there. I guess it was used to being over 200 for so long that it didn't want to let go, but eventually it did. Thank goodness!
  3. Welcome to the losers bench and your first challenge!
  4. It will. In the meantime fitness goals are great just like you are doing with the mile. I netted more calories yesterday than I have been and lost a half pound overnight. This tells me I need to up my net to 1,000 calories too. Great goal and I'll add this one to mine too. You've so got this, 175 here you come!
  5. Ha! So I saw your post and decided to weigh this morning and I weighed in at 189.8. My goal was 190 and yesterday I weighed in at 190.4 and missed it by 4 lousy ounces. Maybe we'll kick butt in the labor day challenge and actually make goal by labor day and not the day after. Lol! Good luck to us!!!!!
  6. They took mine out with the band. It sounds like an error.
  7. Similar weight goals as mine. Good luck, I hope we make it.
  8. You are starting at the weight I hope to end up for this challenge. Good luck with your new goals.
  9. You are teeny! I know 5 lbs will be a true challenge. Good luck to you!
  10. Yay! Good luck in the challenge!
  11. So Onederland is a goal too! Good luck, I know you'll hit it.
  12. I think the is fantastic. It was only a 5 week challenge. You did great. Come join the Labor Day Challenge.
  13. Welcome and good luck with your goals! You can do it.
  14. I started a Labor Day Challenge thread called "Labor Day Challenge 2012". Please join me..
  15. You look amazing! Congrats on the upcoming nuptials.
  16. Labor Day is September 3rd so we have 8 weeks and 4 days in this challenge. How much do you want to lose? I currently weigh 190.4 and I would like to weigh 175 by Labor Day. I hope this is doable in 8 weeks. My weight loss has slowed downed a lot since my work outs were ramped up. Here are my goals: 1. Make it to the 170's 2. Lose 15.4 lbs 3. Log food every day into MFP 4. Exercise 4-5 a week 5. Make it to week 10 on Couch to 5 K Please join me!!!
  17. I've read this entire post and fat irst reading I was so sad and scared for you. Then I read everyone's posts and felt all the love from all our VST friends. Then I saw your 1st results and became joyful. (GOD IS GREAT) Your thread has taken me through a range of emotions and I am elated that things are going in the right direction. It is a true miracle as everyone has said that this was even found. This again is yet another reason why this surgery can be life saving. I will continue to pray until you are cancer free and sitting on the losers bench next to me. God bless you and stay strong!!! Hugs!!!
  18. If you do a search, you will find complications, because this is usually always listed in the title. If you search positive results, hardly anything comes up because we post it in all types of ways like: NSV (non-scale victories), before and after, 4 mos post op, halfway to goal, got my life back, etc. Additionally, you won't see many of us bragging about no complications as there are some (not a lot) that do. My point is, the majority of us never had complications, but you'd never know otherwise unless you asked like you did with this post. This is why this forum is so important. It's here to support, motivate, encourage and answer each others questions. So, having said all this I'm glad you asked and here is my answer: I've had zero complications and I was a band to sleeve revision all done in one procedure. I had more scar tissue and more of a chance of complications. I've had none. I'm 4 mos post op today and have lost 52 lbs. (48 to goal) and like the others have already said, my only complaint is that I didn't do it sooner. Be sure to research your surgeon thoroughly. You may find others on this site who have used him/her. This would be another great search or new thread to start to find out from someone else who actually used your surgeon. If you don't have one, ask for recommendations for the area you live in. This site is full of information, but don't just read the bad stuff. There are a lot of great things on this site to learn and be encouraged by. Good luck with your decision!
  19. I'm a revision and I have hypo-thyroidism. I'm 4 mos post op and have lost 52 lbs total and 48 lbs to go. I don't lose as quickly as some, but I also think it's because I have less to lose. This makes a huge difference.
