  1. I was also sleeved on April 16th. For the most part I feel okay. Definitely struggling with getting my Water in. No real pain other than soreness and also the gas pains. I have had a few episodes of nausea so am still taking the nausea med. Looking forward to Thursday when I'm hoping my surgeon will clear me for pureed foods. I'm not walking a lot yet, but am doing some stretches. Betterthanbefore, I also appreciate your honesty. This is a VERY personal decision and if you weren't totally ready or had doubts, you absolutely did the right thing by not going thru with it.
  2. I am also an April 16th sleever. The days are ticking by and I'm anxious and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait to find the new me buried under all these extra pounds!
  3. My dietician says no refried beans because they're starch until the 6 month mark. Boo! I love refried beans!

  6. Because my BMI was higher I had to start the Optifast Diet (5 shakes, 1 bar) per day on March 14th and my surgery isn't scheduled until April 16th. So far so good, but man that's a long time!
  7. Well, I found out on Thursday that I have received insurance approval for the sleeve and my surgery is scheduled for April 16th!! Wow! How do I prepare mentally and physically for something that will change my life so much? I would love to hear advice from anyone who cares to offer it.
  8. Hi Everyone, I am just now in the process of waiting for insurance approval for my sleeve. My question to you veterans is ... What have you done about/with all of the extra skin you were left with? I already have a belly flap and can't imagine what I'll do with it after the weight comes off. Thanks in advance for any responses and for your willingness to share your experiences with those of us looking ahead! Susan
