  1. I guess my Doc had a scheduling conflict. It's annoying but like you said, it's only a day.
  2. Just got a call, my surgery was pushed back a day , I'm now October 5th. I'm having it done at Mather Hospital on Long Island.
  3. October 4th for me!
  4. This is my blog post about it- http://theflubhub.blogspot.com/2012/09/denial.html
  5. There are many, many healthy band babies born all the time. I heard a doctor on doctor radio say that his waiting room is full of pregnant woman (mainly because you can become very feritle after losing weight) and some of his lap band ladies are on their second or third baby. This is one of the main reasons I'm getting banded, so it's definitely safe!
  6. It's 2 or 3 shakes, a salad with Protein and 2 apples a day. It's hard to not crave carbs, and not just eat what I want.
  7. Congrats! Mine is on the 4th. I have a 3 week diet so it's started already, I don't like it
  8. This is a blog post I made about the rewards for myself- http://theflubhub.blogspot.com/2012/09/rewards.html
  9. Great! I'm October too, I can't wait! Good luck to you and your partner!!!
  10. Sorry that you're not happy about telling people, but this is about you not them. Keep your chin up and screw them
  11. Great job, now you can focus on the surgery, good luck!
  12. Great job!
  13. It's 3 shakes (Breakfast, dinner and late snack), 2 fruits (midmorning and afternoon snack) and a salad with Protein (for lunch). It's not bad, but I get really bored witht the same thing every day. I know it's a cake walk compared to some people's diets but I'm still bad with it.
  14. Not well, as soon as I hear the word diet, I imediately crave everything and have no will power. I'm really going to try and stick to it, but it's going to be a LONG three weeks.
  15. Are you ladies getting nevous? I am! 3 weeks from today is my day!!!
  16. My date is Oct. 4th. My 3 week pre-op diet starts tomorrow, I'm in denial
  17. I've thought this many times! I've always been overweight, so I have no reference at all, but I'm looking forward to seeing myself change!
  18. I enjoy their buffalo "chicken nuggets".
  19. My son is 2.5 years old and I'm concerned about him being to rough with me after surgery. Also when did you feel up to hold, carrying, playing with your child? Any advice? Thanks!
  20. I hope it's normal, I'm getting a bit nervous about it as well. But I have to ask myself, what will I do if I don't get this surgery? Do I want to be obese for the rest of my life or do I want to start a new life in a healtheir body? If the day after your surgery you adopt the attitude of, failure isn't an option, and live by that, you won't fail!
  21. Another October person, congrats! I'm getting nervous, but mostly excited.
