  1. i was approved on day 19. tgey kept telling me approved and my surgeon it was pending still. but finally the surgeon was faxed my approval. Surgery is August 21st
  2. see this is what I was worried about. i talked it over with my husband and told him how this was a concern, he said it made him angry that I could be upset with more attention but we both agree that its not fair but Im at fault as well. I definately do not act as sexy in or out of the bedroom as I once did. lol
  3. Would love to hear some inspirational stories or aee some inspiration pictures of sleevers approx. one year out. Im getting my sleeve in about 5 weeks!!!!
  4. I know this is an important dressing/dip for many people. LOL I copied and pasted the whole thing from someone's pintrest board
  5. Ok now I HATE Ranch dressing with a passion, but I saw this while looking for healthy receipes and decided to share it. Healthy Ranch Dressing 1 cup Dannon Oikos plain nonfat greek yogurt 1 packet hidden valley ranch (dressing, not dip) 1/2 cup 1% milk Whisk together in bowl and chill for 1 hour before serving. As you can see below this filled my canning jar. There is a lot of talk about HOW much milk to use, to get the right consistency and I found this dead on for 'regular' ranch or any other creamy dressing. Protein. That calculates to 8pts on the new points plus system. For an entire jar of dressing. I would hazard a guess that this would yield about 20-24 servings. The best part for ME, is my husband LOVES it! Go me! ****UPDATE**** Some of you are accidentally buying the DIP mix instead of the DRESSING mix with pretty horrid results, so I wanted to post the below for you. They are both in little packets, and looks fairly alike, especially if like me, you walk past and grab it as you go. But there is a difference and I'll post the photos below. It usually looks like there are a lot of those little cardboard holders, but really they are all different. I'll post the two below so you know what to look for. This is what you want. The dressing mix. Can also be used for ranch chicken and in hamburgers. This is what you do NOT want. This is JUST to make the dip that you use for veggies, like they sell pre-made in the dairy section. I hope that helps!!
  6. I was born on June 13th and 13 is also my lucky number Best wishes to you!
  7. that woukd be awesome. They told me it is due a week in advance. Makes me sad since a friend of minw had the same surgery with the same Dr at the same hospital and didnt have to pay anything upfront. Her deductible was about the same too. Hopefully, it will all work out. Im definately stressed though. Praying everyone finds a little peace tonight
  8. What a fantastic day you had!!! Congrats
  9. Best Wishes!!!!! Hoping you have an amazing easy recovery
  10. I was officially approved!!!! After 19 days of waiting and the I got a yes!!! So my out of pocket portion is $3800. Hospital says I must pay atleast $1900 upfront. Care credit denied me. Booooo My credit isnt horrible, just not long standing and also my stupid cc balances are still showing even though i paid both cards off in full last month. grrrr Alll in all we can come up with the 1900 but I wish I had gotten the carecredit so I could have surgery right away instead of scrambling for a month or so
  11. Still keeping my fingers crossed for ya! I think its been about 18 days since I submitted to Cigna, I hope your wait is much less...im a total basket case lol
  12. I totally get what youre saying and agree with the whole men are visual logic. I talked to another friend who had the surgery 7months ago and she said it got better. Truth is if my husband lost 30lbs and started getting cut and had abs I would still be pawing all over him like I always have, but I would probably be way more jealous. so I guess it could go both ways
  13. I dont need to be told Im pretty. But I do need to feel desired. Women want to feel desired by thier partner, atleast I do. In fact, for me the most important thing is to feel desired. Even though we still have lots of laughs and little fights, I do not feel desired.
  14. I would love to think he is just feeding off my energy, but that isnt always the case. I got my feelings hurt last night and maybe that is driving my fear. I love my husband very much and I know he loves me, but even when I am feeling confident and pretty, it can go unnoticed. We have very open communication, so I have communicated how things have changed and what I need. Just wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.
  15. I am worried I will resent my husband for treating me differently after losing weight. When we met I was much thinner and I definately notice a difference after the weight gain. I am worried that when I lose the weight he will start treating me differently and pay more attention to me especially when we are out in public. Anyone have that issue? Can anyone offer some insight?
  16. Good luck hope you get word soon
  17. I seriously have the biggest double chin. I seem to carry a ton of weight in my face. Even when I was thin in high school I had one. Anyone get face lipo done after surgery? What was the cost?Is it completely gone now?
  18. still waiting.....they received the second Dr recommendation in the 29th. So we are almost a week later.
  19. Congrats!!!! Sending awesome good mojo your way!
  20. My insurance coordinator says this is normal, i was just hoping to get a quick yes. A friend of mine submitted and had approval the next day. She was with a different provider though. Congrats on your approval!! How exciting! Hope it all goes very smooth for you and you are on the losers bench in no time
  21. we submitted to Cigna 11 days ago. I called a couple days after and was informed that they had received my paperwork, should know in 5 days. Called on day 5, they dont have my paperwork? When I informed them a few days prior they did have it they put me on hold forever.they found it in the wrong department and so they faxed to the correct department. They said 2-3days i should know unless they required more information. Called again 2 days later. Again, they couldnt find it in the system so I explained the previous situations. After they called the precertification department, they said it was opened that day and they had everything they needed. They said it would be about 5 days. lol ok. The next morning my insurance coordinator called from my surgeons office to explain that I may get a rejection letter but ignore it. when sbe called to check on the paperwork that morning they needed something she had already faxed so she faxed again. She said she believed I would be approved this week. Fingers crossed. Cigna has been making me a nervous wreck Praying for good news this week. love to all
