  1. A kind of weird thought made me less nervous about the surgery. I just kept thinking about how much more fearful I would be if I was having open-heart surgery- a road I could have been headed down if I did not have the sleeve. It made me focus on the NECESSITY of the surgery, which seemed to help me.
  2. I love looking at people's before and after photos for two reasons: 1. It is amazing to me to see the confidence difference in people from their before to their after picture. All of a sudden, people are wearing jewelry, they have on trendy clothes and big smiles. You can just see that their entire demeanor has changed. This is the main reason why I like to look at the before-and-after pictures. 2. This one is weird. I like looking at the backgrounds of people's pictures. I feel like I can get a general sense of who people are by looking at what's in the background of their pictures. It cracks me up how many people have crazy things in the backgrounds of their pictures, as they were posing for the camera. Just saying...
  3. Actually, My ticker says 38 pounds lost... Subtraction!
  4. Ok, so as of this morning, it is 34 pounds in 62 days.
  5. I've always been great at losing, and THEN gaining again and again...
  6. Yes, (not to sound flip), but I have done it before. Those times that I did, it was just a matter of time until I started gaining it back... I guess that's kinda it: It feels like the old patterns. I am worried a bit because I want to make it to my goal (I guess slow is ok). My husband had the surgery on June 4th and has lost 76 pounds. Hard to be losing slowly and steadily beside him... 70 pounds to go...
  7. Oh... And I have about 100 pounds total to lose.
  8. Does this sound like I am on track weight-wise? I've lost 30 pounds in 61 days and have had a week and a half stall. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
  9. Would you choose to do it again?
  10. What does it feel like when you are full? I am now 6 weeks out and it seems to be an actual PAIN feeling? Is this correct?
