  1. Are you taking anything for the heartburn? Heartburn is the worst.
  2. I am 13 months post op and 11 weeks pregnant now. And I am terrified of gaining weight too. I know how you feel. My husband doesn't understand. He keeps saying I shouldn't be watching what I eat while I'm pregnant...!!!? Say what!!! I don't think so!
  3. I need to make an appointment to see my nut. I haven't even told my surgeon yet.
  4. Thanks! It's been crazy having to add some carbs back because the baby needs them and it helps with morning sickness. I am sooo NOT used to eating them anymore that I get soooo bloated by the end of the day. Still trying to figure this out.
  5. Wow. So I was 11 months out when I found out. 10 lbs from my goal of 136. Being sleeved and pregnant has been a challenge. My husband wanted another baby but I was skeptical. Since finding out I am pregnant I have fallen in love. I so happy and hope we are having another boy! I am 10 weeks now. Morning sickness has plagued me as always. Hoping to get back to the gym soon.
  6. I got pregnant a couple or three months after mine was removed. That pregnancy ended in miscarriage then we decided to go back to using protection for a long time.
  7. Congrats to you guys!! Kids are awesome! I am 7 mths post op. 11 lbs from goal. Hubby told me today that he wants to have another child when I reach goal....I am thinking long and hard. He is 43 so he wants to have one more ASAP. I am not sure just yet!! But he is a wonderful father and husband so, I find it hard to want to say no....
  8. I am four months out. I didn't start trying to eat pancakes till month three. I can barely eat half of a small one. And I put sugar free syrup on it. I don't eat them often. I dont stay away from carbs. I go with the everything in moderation attitude and I am doing well!
  9. I had to wear one for a week post op. it wasn't painful. More slightly annoying than anything. U feel like a new person once it's removed..
  10. About the soda, I was a Dr. Pepper junkie prior to surgery but I don't even miss it!!
  11. Depends on a lot of different factors. I went to my first appt in February and had surgery May 15th!
  12. I currently am suffering from a terrible cold. My first sickness since being sleeved. My sleeve is very gurgley. Feels full of bubbles or something. I don't feel like eating much. I have been concentrating on getting my fluids and vitamins in. Not worrying about forcing the protein in while i am sick and the surgeon says thats fine and few days won't kill me. Also, my sleeve tolerates most foods. So chicken soup and low fat ritz crackers would sit fine.
  13. I had it too. Same side and all. Very common.
  14. It's because of all the liquids. It will be fine. It will stop as you change in to food stages with more substance.
  15. It feels like heart burn times 100. AND, food can literally come up and sometimes out in to your mouth. Burping doesn't help. And it made me nauseous at times.
  16. It also washes the food out of your sleeve faster making u hungrier more often and repetitively stuffing food plus liquids in the sleeve at the same time can lead to expanding it over time.
  17. I get heartburn still. It was terrible pre surgery and a little better after but still there. I am 3 months out.
  18. If u find a way to manufacture one, make me your first customer!!! I like it!!
  19. I am 3 mths out. I slept lots the first few weeks. Don't beat yourself up about the fluids. It's all overwhelming for several weeks. Just do the best u can and concentrate on sipping and getting your Protein in. Watch the color of your urine. As long as it doesn't get dark you are doing ok!! It gets better!
