  1. Omg, I was JUST wondering about not being able to chug after surgery! I was chugging water today and realized that the wonderful feeling of chugging to quench my thirst will be non-existent someday soon.
  2. Right, WLS means weight loss surgery. After noticing how many GB patients feel this great surge of energy right after surgery, my question is, do VSG patients feel that same surge? I'm asking this because I don't see it posted as often as I heart from GB patients. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the type of surgery or if it's just the individual person. *^__^
  3. Thank you, Larry, for being so pro-active in getting Medicare to approve VSG!
  4. Do you think the exhaustion might be from the lower caloric intake or Vitamin deficiency?
  5. Wow! That's awesome to know that energy will happen again! Thank you both for your input!
  6. LOL The dreaded evil pantyhose! Haha! I hear ya! Great Nsv!
  7. So, I remember always reading about and hearing from gastric bypass patients rejoicing about how much energy they have after WLS. Is the energy just as noticeable with VSG?
  8. Sending prayers! Your tears will be turned into joy with your new you! *^__^
  9. Yes, it is, Miss Kiki... It has the desired bubbles and if you leave it out, it will turn a little flat but still have a little bubbly in it. *^__^
  10. I know you're worried about it stretching the sleeve, but if it's the bubbles you crave, Perrier orange is pretty tasty.
  11. Chinese buffet is definitely not where you want to eat sushi at. Hopefully you can try it again when it's freshly made. I'm not sleeved yet, but I know sushi fills me up pretty darn quick.
  12. Congratulations, hirsandy!!! I'm so excited for you! I don't know what's up w Tripler Docs names... My husband had "Dr Foote" when he had his foot surgery. LOL
  13. That's exactly the same response I get from EVERYONE I know. It's especially hurtful when those comments come from loved ones. I mean, those are the people who you thought would have your back thru thick and thin ( *^__^ ), but after hearing remarks like the ones you mentioned above, I feel like they don't know me at all. I feel like the only way I can move forward and not be discouraged is to not share my journey w them. It's sad that I can't, tho.
  14. I'm PRAYING that Tricare will cover it since UH does!
  15. I have Triwest, I wonder if it will change our benefits once United Healthcare takes over? More-so, I wonder if they'll cover VSG?
  16. I appreciate your input. I actually left a message on the yvette's phone, but didn't get a return call.
  17. @tonyswife ~ we're stationed in HI as well and I tried to contact Tripler numerous times to see how I can get into that program. Unfortunately, no one has returned my calls. How did you go about getting yourself into the program?
  18. Thank you txsmama! I'm pretty sure that there's a program here at Tripler. I tried calling the operator there and he had no idea what I was talking about. He probably shouldn't be the one answering the phone. Lol
  19. Thanks Deb! Can't wait for this too! Yay! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  20. Hi Robin! I've been "lurking" too. Lol I go for my info class on 3/21. Good luck on your journey! *:-) Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  21. I was going to say that maybe it's the clinic that wants you to go through a 6 month program to make sure you have all tools you need to be successful... But I see that you got past that part. LOL Good for you! As far as the psych visit, I went through that when I was considering gastric bypass. The psych was nice, but I had to fill out a hella long questionaire about how you are following dr's advice. It was basically to find out how ready and disciplined you are for the journey ahead. It was always a pleasant visit w the psych for me. You'll be fine. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  22. SUPER AWESOME!!!! CONGRATULATIONS! Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
  23. Is it comfortable? I mean, do you notice it yet?
