Yeah im just a little over a month out. Thank you for being so sweet when I was feeling so awful I couldn't barley tolerate liquids the only thing I could stomach/ stand to smell was some grape Gatorade thankfully it was only 30 cals. I definitely had enough calories to last me the rest of the week. My band just gave me some tough love. I have my post op appointment next week from now where im supposedly getting an adjustment. Do u think that I should hold off on it for now or do u think it would be better to have my band lead the way? These grown up decisions are too difficult lol I think I need more education

I just want to thank you all for being so supportive. I was so freaked out/scared that was the most sick feeling I think I ever had been in. I didn't start feeling better until a bit earlier today. I practically slept all day yesterday since I was feeling so miserable. (No exaggeration) I feel pretty much back to normal but now with major restriction. I promise one thing, I will never ever eat like that again. ever!

Yesterday evening I broke down and started binge eating. I have no idea how I did it. But I kept eating past super full. I went to bed and woke up about 5 hours later with a sick tummy took two phenogrins and still vomited about 10 mins after that. I was still feeling ill so since I just puked out the medication I took another and went to bed hoping I could sleep it off. I woke up this morning feeling so bloated, sick with nausea,head was foggy, followed with sulfer burps.. eww. Im still feeling awful my Dr. Just recommended for me to go on a liquid diet for today but the smell or tast of anything gags me. Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like such a dumb ass.

Hey girl, I had my surgery a little bit after you but my surgeons office told me not to mind the scale since women can fluctuate 10 _ 15 lbs. During our cycles just from water weight. They told me to keep up with my measurements once a month. They said that with working out and extra protein I should be building/ muscles which is good since muscles help burn more fat anyways congratulations on your loss. Were in it together

Thank you that makes me feel a bit better.one of the reasons I chose this surgery was because I was told id loose slower and was told losing slower was healthier. But then it just confused me more since I was told because I was diagnosed as hypothyroid and pre diabetic id really be losing at a slower rate.

Well my dr told me 2lbs per week and now im in the middle of switching drs since I cant ever get ahold of my current dr nor even get In for a post op appointment

So I had my Lapland placed dec 17th which is making me slightly over three weeks post op. I weighed in tonight and noticed that I'm down 18.8 lbs.i started at 235 down to 216.2 is this normal? Ive been trying to eat healthier and only have only been to the gym twice for a total of an hour.

So tomorrow will be my first week post surgery. I've been pretty sore and frustrated that I'm having trouble sleeping at night. If I sleep on my back it feels like my stomach is pushing down on the band ,sleeping on my right side I feel like band and port are just dangling from where its stitched inside. than my left side feels like I'm squishing my port and oh boy does my incisions hurt. I just wish I could get a good nights rest without the tossing and turning. In the mornings I feel at my best with no back or shoulder pains.(they are the worst)By the evening everything starts to ache and then I get those horrible gas pains that just kill my shoulder and back ... The incisions don't hurt much as they feel uncomfortable ,unless you try laying on them or try bending over for anything.I must say with all of these squats I've been doing I'm pretty sure I'm going to have one nice booty lol. oh yeah if you have any kittens around my best advice is to keep them as far away as possible. they will try super jumping onto your port every time . FYI I haven't used any type of pain medication since surgery and I'm planning on returning to work in 4 days.

So now I'm having horror dreams that I missed my appointment . :/

I guess my port is going to be placed left of my belly button as well my surgeon looked at me with crazy eyes when I spoke of different placements lol

I'm dec 17th I just had my pre op yesterday that barium swallow test was quite nasty. I'm having trouble with the protein I bought 3 of the 2lb jars of stnthrax nectar but they are kinda gross too. Oh well.... I guess I'll get over it

I think I'm going to request for the same placement thank you

I've waited over four years since I started the the process. I was told i was a good candidate and had insurance agreeing that surgery would be a good idea but both companies that my husband and i worked for had exclusions on any type of weightless surgeries so that was a bit of a set back. After a while my husband started working for a different company that did not have exclusions , I was ecstatic! I watched a 20 min online seminar and had a packet sent to me within a week filled it out sent it off two weeks later had the ok from the insurance and surgeons office. within that week I went and met my surgeon talked with a nutritionist then with a psychiatrist for like 5 mins. The part that is taking the longest is having to wait until the dr I work for to go on vacation so I have time to heal after surgery.
