  7. So it has been 2 weeks to the day of my surgery. I have had no complications. I am on a puree diet with no issues. I have lost 23 pounds since surgery day so far. My BP is 120/70 and my wife said I am not snoring (sleep apnea) like I used to. I have to say this has been a good decision. My only gripe is I will be making a nasty phone call to the Dr office because I was quoted $875 for anethesia and got a bill for $2125. A little bait and switch? Jay

So I begin Day 4. I have been only in mild pain, have had no issues swallowing and able to drink clear protein shot, zero calorie gatorade, broth, jello and actually drank some coffee with a splash of Fat free creamer. Actually walked 55 minutes this morning. ON my pre-surgery appt I weighed 303, on my surgery day 2 weeks later I was 295 and as of today I am 285. I know it will not be this easy for long but I am truly blessed how well I have done. 90 pounds to my goal weight.
  11. i had surgery 2/17 also. Trying to rush to full liquids? How are you feeling? I feel pretty good myself.
  12. went in at 5;15am, they took some blood, checked my vitals, had me change and took me down to pre-op. At about 7:00am they took me in and put me to sleep. I opened my eyes at 9:30am. They brought me to recover with my wife around 10am. At about 12:30pm they had me get up and try to use the bathroom and drink. I was dizzy so they laid me back down. Got me up again at 1:45 and had me drink a cup and 1/2 of water. I was still dizzy but they made me stay in the chair and did a breathing treatment. About 2:30pm they got me dressed and had me walk. I was discharged at 3:15
