Congrats to all of you!! I can't wait for my day!

Congratulations on your decision to change your life. I have had my band over three years now and I would NOT change a thing. Do everything that your Doctor tells you to do and dont listen to the garbage out there. It is a life changing event and if you follow the advice of your Dr you will do just fine. I was an insulin dependent type II diabetic when I got my band I wore an insulin pump for over 10 yrs taking approx 100 units a day via pump.... I am well no longer requiring any medication at all. It is an awesome journey. If you look at it as a life change and have your mindset right you can do it! Good luck to you.

Congrats to you all. I to cant wait for my day. I am looking at Mid may if the insurance company approves me the first time around. I do hope so i have done everything required and meet all the critieria they have set forth.

TammyFaye thank you, your words so very inspiring! One of my friends is going through this with me and she will be excited to hear the part about diabetes! Can't wait for my journey to proceed!

Good for you!!! Take it easy the next while and let your body heal. Don't worry too much about losing weight; that will come after you've healed. Welcome to the "cool kids club!" wink.png
