  1. Thanks guys!!! Good luck to you all and I did treat myself to a pedicure
  2. Hey ya'll, I had lap band with plication on February 17, 2012 and am very, super excited to say that I have hit ONEderland!!!!! That's right folks!! I am tipping the scales at 198 pounds. I am so proud of my hard work and dedication. It can be done and I'm living proof! Okay, enough about me, how are you all?
  3. 40 pounds down and only 4 away from "onederland"!! Woot!
  4. Glad you're feeling much better. Enjoy your day!
  5. I voted for you! Good luck!
  6. I weigh every single day and so that I can keep that accountability going. I also track all of my foods on myfitnesspal and go to the gym for 5-8 hours per week. Don't get discouraged and keep up the good work!
  7. BTW, great job on your weight loss thus far!! Keep it up!
  8. Gastric Plication decreases the size of the stomach without removing sections of the stomach. Gastric Plication decreases the volume of the stomach by folding the stomach inwardly ,and suturing the folds, reducing the stomach volume and therefore limiting food intake. It is also said to reduce the chance of the band slipping. I have not been in "bandster hell" and do not feel the need for a fill at this point. I am satisfied with three very small meals per day.
  9. My surgery was 2/17/2012 and I am down 6 bags of sugar.
  10. Hi guys, I am 5 weeks post op and have lost 31 pounds!!! I had the lap band with plication done on 2/17/2012 and have my 6 week visit with my Dr today. I can definitely see the weight loss in my clothing. I am down two sizes already! How's everyone else doing?
  11. I had surgery on 2/17/2012. My starting weight was 243 on 2/14/2012 and today I am down to 215! 28 lbs gone forever!!!!!
  12. Chobani greek yogurt has 23 g of Protein per 1/2 cup. Greek yogurt smoothie: 1/2 cup Chobani Greek Yogurt (around $4 for a large container) 3-4 strawberries splash of Water handful of ice Blend and strain. Add 1-3 packs of Splenda for sweetness. Yummy!!
  13. I can't do the strawberry seeds. It makes it too gritty for me.
  14. I hate, hate, hate the Protein shakes so I do Greek yogurt smoothies instead. I don't like to eat the Greek yogurt by itself so I make it into a smoothie. This one is my fave: 1/2 cup Chobani plain non fat Greek yogurt (23g protein) 4-5 large strawberries (1g protein) dash of Water or milk (I prefer water) handful of ice Mix everything in your food processor or blender and strain. Add one to two packets of splenda if needed and VOILA! Enjoy! I also use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream in my mashed potatoes or refried Beans for added protein throughout the day. I have been able to get all of my protein in each day without having to use any Protein powder. Greek yogurt+=my best friend!
  15. I have also lost 20 pounds in two weeks and had the band with plication on the same day at the same place.
  16. Woot woot!!! Way to go my friend!
  17. ....Also, you can add a couple of packets of splenda if you need to sweeten it up.
  18. Chobani greek yogurt has 22 grams of protein per half cup. 1/2 cup of greek yogurt, 1/2 banana, 3 or 4 strawberries handful of ice, splash of milk or water, blend and strain, YUM!!! I hate the grittiness of the Protein Powder and it is expensive. You can do almost any flavor with the plain greek yogurt. Good luck!
