  1. Hi guys, can anyone tell me how to put a picture in the little picture box? I write from an iPhone.... Thanx!!

  3. Any yummy homemade salsa recipes? Sweet or spicy....love all salsa!
  4. What a coincidence!! Well to me he is amazing doctor, but I kinda feel that he is always in a rush!! The good thing he has always been on time, so no ling waits. The surgery went great, minimal pain in belly but AWEFUL gas pain for nearly 3 weeks... That left shoulder was a killer. I am on mushies right now, keeping everything down thankfully;) I wish you luck with your upcoming surgery, hope your experience is as wonderful as mine has been.
  5. OMG very true. A couple hundred for a little salt water! Lol Oh well, it's like magic salt water!!
  6. I had it done at Strax by Dr. Choi:).... How about you? Tell me about your successful 2 year journey... I'm only 3 weeks out!
  7. My Dr office will do my first fill no charge, ( I was self pay so I'm sure I payed for it somewhere) and each additional fill is $250... Is this reasonable? Anyone else paying for fills each time they go? Do insurrances cover them? (just curious)
  8. Likewise neighbor! It's funny, I have not met one single person who has been banded!! Lol I've lost 11 thus far and get 1st fill the 19th... Hope weight comes off faster! Do you have a surgery date?
  9. Hi all! I was banded on 2/14 and I still dont personally know anyone who has been banded!!! Is there anyone that lives in south Florida? Just so I know my Miami people support my journey!!!! Lol
  10. Hi luvbug... Im in mushies myself and have gotten many good ideas from fellow bandsters... Such as: Retried beans, mashed sweet potatoes, ricotta cheese, cream of anything soups, canned carrots(theyre super soft), oatmeal, pudding, yogurt, chicken/tuna/egg salad pureed in food processor, Greek frozen yogurt, and I'm still looking for new ideas! Hope this helps;)
  11. Congrats on graduating Phat:) A little glass of wine to celebrate shouldn't hurt...(wink wink)
  12. Waited exactly 2 weeks and had no problems:)
  13. Are lean cuisines a good serving size for when I can start eating "real food?" They are convenient, mostly healthy, and seem to be a nice, small serving size?
  14. Awesome ideas! Will put cherry crystal light and Malibu rum on grocery list! (and may not even wait till weekend) lol
  15. Great quote Smiley... Very inspiring! Thank you all for your words of wisdom. I will be 3 weeks post op on Tuesday and get my 1st fill the 19th. Have lost 11 so far:) (i didn't have to do the preop diet) It can only get better!!!!!!!!
  16. Thanks guys:) I will ask my surgeon what his advise is when I go for my 1st fill on the 19th!!!
  17. Hi all:) When is it ok to have a drink? I'm 3 weeks post op and just wondering.....when can I have my very missed little glass of wine?? Lol
  18. I was also self pay and feel the same exact way! I guess we will learn from all of our bandster friends' experiences. I am full of questions.....
  19. Yes I went to see him, and he told me to take advil.... The pain has disappeared for the last 3 days.... Fingers crossed!!
  20. Good luck Foxxie...I also felt as if my left shoulder had been dislocated! I believe it has something to do with the Phrenic nerve related to your diaphragm. I googled it and it made more sense:) I was banded on valentines day and the pain lasted about 2 weeks... More when I would feel full!
  21. Ohhhh chips and salsa is my favorite!!! Hopefully instead of a whole chip basket at Chilis I can get away with a lot less! Thanks for your experiences Smiley, I guess just one day at a time will be the way to go!
  22. Thanks Shauna:) Bread won't be hard for me thank goodness, I wasn't really a bread eater before the band... But a BIG chicken breast eater! I sure hope that when I first try it ( in about 4 weeks) it's not too bad. I have not had a fill yet, but chicken, tuna, and salmon salad have gone down well. This may change after being filled.... Right?
  23. Well I wish you luck with your last 40! That's awesome that sugar and all no gain:)!!
  24. Is chicken salad also a culprit? I'm just wondering like for example going to subway... What would be a wise choice? Is lettuce ok?? Soooo many questions I know!!!!
