  1. Yay! That is fantastic. I am also down 30 pounds, although I don't feel any different yet.
  2. I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago, and the lap band recovery has been much easier. The biggest issue with my gallbladder recovery was my belly button incision. It was terrible, and got infected.
  3. Maybe call the clinic, and ask them what they think.
  4. Congratulations on your loss. Why are you so focused on not wanting a fill though?
  5. I don't see it myself, but I am wearing smaller clothes.
  6. You can use it, sliced thinly, instead of lasagna noodles, in pasta dishes. Tastes pretty good.
  7. I also felt a lot better today, than I did yesterday. I went shopping, ran errands, and went to the bank. On the shopping front, I am apparently losing all of my weight from my chest. Come on hips, please get smaller!
  8. I'm at day 10 and I can now sleep on my side. Soon grasshopper
  9. I'm at day 10 and I can now sleep on my side. Soon grasshopper
  10. Wow. I had surgery on the 20th and I'm glad to be down 4 pounds! I don't think we are supposed to worry about losing quite yet.
  11. Yes, I agree. Call the surgeon ASAP tomorrow morning, and see how much of a prime is in your band, and see if they can remove all of it for you. Another poster had to have that done this week, and I believe they did it under general sedation, for her comfort.
  12. Maybe you need some more pain medication? With the right medication, you can walk, which will help with the gas pains. Also, try some gas-x strips, and peppermint tea.
  13. Maybe you need another fill, if you can eat more than 1 cup at a time? As for the head hunger vs real hunger, I am just learning myself.
  14. Have you taken any pain medication today?
  15. That sucks. Could they try doing a smaller fill? Maybe 1/2 or 1/4 of what they were putting in?
  16. What are your allergies? Are they seasonal?
  17. I'm 9 days out, and I'm burping all the time too. I had some edge (blended though) for Breakfast, and it was nice to have some 'real' food.
  18. Wow. 6 weeks before real food? My surgeon wants me on at least a week of real food before my first adjustment. My schedule was: Day 1 - Water Day 2-7 - Liquids Day 8-14 - Pureed foods Day 15-21- Mushy foods Day 22 and after - Solid foods
  19. The port still needs to be within a few inches in any direction, of the large incision. If you are looking to find yours, I'd start feeling around the perimeter of that incision, and working your way out.
  20. The large incision is used to place the port as well. The surgeon gets to pick where they place the port, so it can be in different locations on different people.
  21. When I'm not in pain, I can also burp easily.
