  1. I have IBS, so I take a supplement daily. The best one I've found is Acacia Senegal: http://www.helpforibs.com/shop/suplmts/default.asp It dissolves into anything, after a bit of mixing, and doesn't thicken, so you can put it into water, or coffee, or pretty much anything else. It doesn't give me gas, and it's 100% soluble, which helps regulate digestion. And it's much cheaper than benefibre, for the same thing.
  2. How large was your glass of OJ at 325 calories? Also, that shake and milk calories seems really high. How much are you drinking?
  3. Did you just call us all lazy pigs? Really? You got a lap band too.
  4. Maybe she wants to be able to eat one taco, not two or three?
  5. Posting from Firefox 12.0 from the same mac as above. Seems to work just fine for me. What version of Firefox are you on NWgirl?
  6. I have 150 to lose as well, and my surgeon had no issue doing the band.
  7. Actually, I guess I'll post my issue here as well Alex. I'm on a mac (V10.7.4), using Safari Version 5.1.6 (7534.56.5). I don't seem to be getting notifications when people reply after me on threads I've replied to since the site update, but only on the ones from before. Is the default for notifications (follow this thread) turned off now? I'd like to have that on, by default.
  8. I guess she'll have to start another thread
  9. How long is your pre-op prep diet? Could you just start it early? I had to do mine for 3 weeks.
  10. I'd try a fibre supplement instead of relying on laxatives on the long term.
  11. I'm sorry if you didn't find my 'feedback' helpful, but one of the first questions I asked the surgeon, was about any ongoing fees, regarding to fills, and if I needed some sort of additional surgery.
  12. Did you not ask questions about the associated fees after surgery?
  13. Ooh, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe a bowl of minestrone soup, and just have the broth?
  14. ouch! I hope they have you fixed up now though.
  15. Perhaps you just had a bad PA? I don't have a personal stake in it, but it just seems like you are painting them all with the same brush.
  16. So, I think that little fill helped me! I had just one whole wheat instant waffle, with 2 tbsn of PB2 on top, and I'm satisfied! I was going to make two waffles, out of habit, but I stopped and thought about trying just one to start. Now to see how long before I get hungry again.
  17. I'm curious, what do you guys have against PAs?
  18. Do you have a nutritionist to see? Maybe it's not the quantity of food, as much as the quality?
  19. I also drink regular coffee, or lattes. Mmm
  20. What do you have against a nurse doing fills? The one at my clinic has done at least twice as many as the surgeon.
  21. I've flown 5 times since I was banded, the first being 3 days post-op, to get home. The longest flight, a few weeks ago, was 7 hours, and I had no issues what so ever.
  22. I'd probably have the band fixed surgically, before revising, personally. Good luck with whatever you choose.
