    Thanks Mis
I think I had some of the curvy ones in the dressing room. I think I'm just too un-proportional right now. My waist is down to a 32 but I still carry a lot in my butt/hips and my thighs. And since I need work slacks I refuse to have them tight in my thighs. Guess I'll just have to venture out again and try on more. Maybe I'll at least find some on sale.

I have discovered that some makers actually make "curvy" sizes. They're just a little roomier in the hips and butt. I've seen them at Sears, JCPenneys, and Kohls. I even saw some at Walmart once. They're not plus sized, either. My very shapely, normal weight daughter even wears them because she's got my hips and butt gene too. I even found curvy petite pants at Kohls and did a happy dance.
(I wish I could remember the exact brand, but I bought them two sizes ago and no longer have them, ugh!)
As for jeans, I can't find ones I like better than Riders by Lee, relaxed fit, straight legged. Again, with the relaxed fit, it gives a little room in the hips and butt.
From one pear shaped girl to another, good luck!

Try it and see how you do with it. It's the only way you'll know.
Personally, I don't have a problem with it cooked or raw.

I was putting something into the back of the closet earlier today and saw hanging there, my wedding suit. The marriage didn't last too long, but I kept the suit because it was so expensive...and very pretty even though a year after the wedding, I was already too large to wear it. Why I never got rid of it, I have no idea...but I've taken it with me every time I moved. Well, just for the heck of it, I tried it on to see how close I was to the size I was 15 years ago. Well....you're gonna have to go and open the pics.....

It's weird, I was just sitting here on Monday lamenting about giving up an amazing dress that I have in a size 12. It's clearly too big for me, but it looks and feels great so I'm going to keep wearing it until it doesn't look right anymore.
Anywhoooooo...went shopping for a dress to wear for a wedding tomorrow and found one that I'd seen at a high-end store for $229.00 at a different store marked down to $49.99 - I'd fallen in love with it at the higher price, but wasn't about to spend that much on it right now...it's not my wedding and I don't even know the people. I was about to give up but it was almost like the dress had a voice and called me because I saw it as soon as I turned in a different direction. I couldn't believe it, it was the same dress I'd fallen in love with 2 weeks ago at a different store - but dratz...it's a stinkin' size 8...I'm sure I need a 10. I decided to try it on anyway, my lunch break was toast and I didn't have time to go anywhere else.
Alas! The size 8 fits great!!!! I was in such a shock I almost cried, but called my niece instead to tell her the news. I said "Guess what size dress I just bought"? She said "Size 8?" I couldn't believe she guessed it right off and asked how she knew? She told me that I'm little...I look little and she's known for a while that I was nearing single digit clothing sizes. The kicker is: I can't tell. My brain has not yet caught up with my body. I don't feel little, I don't look little, I feel the same...just more energetic and a lot more lively - but size wise, I hardly see 10lbs. gone when I look in the mirror naked. I guess my mind will catch up with my physical progress soon. This size 8 is a shocker though!

this is about me...i had a high starting BMI
whomever reads my posts/blogs, please understand i am not bragging...boasting or trying to flatter you all with how wonderful i am....and that i am cured of being super morbid obese...i will never be cured.....my journey to better health is until i take my last breath.

i am who i am.....a female in her late 40s..who started out as was as wide she was tall...i am relating to whomever i can..hopefully to the larger BMI people and those who had trouble moving..that was me......key word WAS....i am hoping someone will read/see me and go, you know if that crazy fat chick can, then maybe so can i..

i was at the last resort...i had trouble wiping myself
i was scared to lay on the bed for fear it would break
and god knows i wasnt going anywhere (people laugh at people like me) and i was/am still scared of someone snapping a pic of me and putting it on fat people shopping at walmart......i was so large, i could not walk...i couldnt not stand more than 5 minutes...i hurt everywhere...i hurt not only inside but outside...i never wanted to wake up in the mornings.....

i post to try and reach whomever needs it.
i do not want anyone to think i am better than they are because i am NOT.

i have a few pm's from people (kinda snarky) in regards to fills.....does she or doesnt she.....(nope i do not....the dr did not put a fill in me with a long needle while awake)..they did a primer at surgery...no idea how much or if it is still in there.i will know when i ever get a fill.....so that is my answer to those who say snarky comments....it is what it is..

and when i do get one (if ever) who knows...sometimes when i read people getting fill after fill and scheduling their first ones day out of surgery, i sometimes wonder what i am (missing)...i am human after all.....

but if i do and when i do have a fill...i will NOT be so tight as i can only drink.....to me that is stupid and dangerous..living is not about only being able to drink...that is just not right.....i will not allow myself to fall into that..sure you can and will lose on all liquids.....but its not a healthy way.....dont care what you say...ask your dr and get their answer on living life on liquids...

so, i have the plication...similar to the sleeve but NOT the sleeve its a new thing (not a fad) and its early in the stages....the dr did this to me after explaining the situation i was in and with my BMI being a massive 62, he wanted to help me..as i did not want the bypass...my dr wanted me to do that but i was too scared..damn near 350 pounds but still to scared to have something to help me...

i remember telling him i would make this band work. he did not look very sure of that...well, nearly 150 pounds lighter, yeah, i said i made it work...I HAD TO...the fact is this about me..this is what i do...day in and day out.

    i eat to lose weight
i eat what i want...when i want which is when i am hungry...read that again
i eat when i am HUNGRY

    i do not diet
i do not spend my days counting calories...i know what i eat..i make excellent choices..(you can choose baked over fried, fresh over boxed)...i know what goes into the food (as my hub and me prepare/package/measure it 98% of the time).....i am aware 3500 calories is a pound..i know not to eat more calories then i can burn off..simple math.....and the band/plication HELPS me with the amount by signaling a very full feeling to me......to STOP.....

i do not eat something and say i am horrible and that i am a failure and i am weak and i blew it..this is dieting thinking..
i know one meal (of whatever) wont make me gain 10 pounds of actual weight and one excellent healthy meal wont make me lose 10 pounds of actual weight....its a day in and day out process.....until people realize that.....they are stuck in the on going diet round and round process...

    eat better/healthier foods
make choices that are good for you
    YOU CAN IF YOU WANT

if you start saying its xmas and i cant control myself, yeah you can and you could if you wanted..just like me....i have to make those choices also.
and i exercise every day..i do it....and get on with it......day in and day out..dont care what you do as long as you do....its up to you to do what you have to do..
i see it this journey from a former 336 pound person...a starting BMI of 62 it was either get bigger or get it done..

and here i am......where are you?

If you have spider veins and varicose veins, plus swollen ankles and calves, I would first have yourself checked for veinous reflux disease. It's common among over weight people and is caused when the valves don't close properly allowing blood to pool in the lower leg.
If you do, insurance will pay to have the veins taken care of, which might also significantly decrease your ankle and calf size, too. I am having vein ablation and removal this January for veinous reflux disease.
    Just a thought!

This is true fact! It affected me at my company we were told we have "Cadillac" insurance and therefor must pay a hefty fine for it.
I'm sorry it's bad enough that we work hard for what we have, and we take care of those without but to have to pay a fine for having a good job and working for a good company that cares about it's employees is just BS.
Our generation as I tell my husband all the time is the sandwich generation stuck between our aging parents and the baby boomers looking for their medicaid ride and our kids who are too dam lazy to get a real job that we now cover them until they are 26.
Sometimes I actually think I should just quit my job, and put my hand out like 99% of people out there. If all the working class Americans quit what would they do? Have to work....hmmmm makes me think every day when I get up at 5 am and work 10 hours a day to pay fines for having healthcare.

Before obamacare I had insurance. After insurance I dont. Those are the facts.

Sorry, you're wrong. There are about 18 states that offer no bariatric coverage and some of the others offer limited bariatrics. If you sold insurance you know very well that a policy is a contract and to change the policy/contract one must issue a new policy. Therefore millions of policies have been cancelled and offered under the new Obamacare standards/guidelines. Bariatracs has been dropped to keep costs down in many cases.
There are just far too many varied policies for the government to accommodate each one individually.
Apparently the authors of Obamacare do not recognize bariatrics as a necessity? Guess it's back to being pigs as far as the government is concerned?
