  3. NettD my surgery had some Complications so I have a bit of a longer triad ahead than expected. During the camera insertion a vein was nicked. When they went in with the gas tube, my abdomen had blood. They had to open me up to find the blood. I ended up with my bariatric team as well as a trauma team working on me. One the nick was found it had already sealed and stopped bleeding. I got my sleeve but now I have a huge 12”+ to heal rather than my 5-6 holes I was expecting. I can’t complaint my doc was a rockstar and controlled my pain amazingly. Now I’m sick of bed rest and I’m fighting to get water in since I just wanna sleep and heal. How are you doing?

  8. This weekend is stock up and get ready weekend. I'm so glad protein shakes have improved since 2012 when I had my band put in. Pre-Op diet is a challenge. I miss my coffee.

  12. I used Dr Baker. I'll have to check on his self pay price. He's great.
  13. Banded Feb 20 in Little Rock by Dr Baker. I'm down 32 so far and I'm at 4.0 in a 10 band after three fills. Great to see people from Arkansas around.
  14. BMI over 40, letter from doc, and 5yrs weight history.
  15. UHC here. I had to pay 135 for protein shakes. That's it. I'm three fills in so far. Sooo blessed and I'm very happy I did it.
  16. So I hired a personal trainer once a week for the next six months to get me "into" my groove at the gym. Am I lazy for doing this? I just feel like I need a little extra push and accountability in the exercise department. The band pretty much takes care of the food department.
  17. I've been in 6weeks after surgery for the first fill and every 4 weeks after that.
  18. Corn, red potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, russet potatoes, purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, cherry, grape, and traveler tomatoes, strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, and 6 types of pumpkins. Oh and sunflowers. Lol
  19. I got my third fill last Thursday. Woohoo I have restriction. I have had to slow waaaay down eating and my portions are half. I'm only at 4.6 in a 10 band but boy do I feel it now.
  20. My doctor actually warned me in my preop visit that I would have some show up after weight loss. I'm glad he covered everything before I took the plunge. Apparently they are already there but will be more noticeable after you lose weight.
  21. Hi there. My band date was 4/20/12. I live in Arkansas and I'm 37. I've got three kids and a wonderful husband. I've lost 29 lbs so far but not much restriction yet. Only at 3cc but I get another fill on June 1st.
