I also had it with the lap band procedure.. i dont think it caused any extra pain than the lap band would of.... i was up and about within a day of it but very tired... couldnt walk around for long... but i think that is just it all together.. however my doctor certified me for three weeks off college.. i only stayed out for a week tho..

my doctors told me im never allowed a fizzy drink or beer or anything along that means ever.. while i have the band in im not allowed em

4th fill tomorrow, I'm hoping and praying that this finally gives me restriction because my will power is swaying alot lately and dont wanna go back too my old ways. PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ let it work finally!

I know exactly how you feel.... Im in college too... and im so concentrated on weightloss and what i need to do next my college work is taking a dip... so much to do and never have the concentration to do it...

Definetely feel the same i was banded in november of 2011. I am now up to 6cc in a 10 cc band... no sign of restriction at all... only for i found a diet that works in the mean time i would not have lost any weight in the mean time.. i cant wait until the band kicks in and helps me in my journey... best of look wit urs... your not alone...

Thanks its early days yet i suppose but its frustrating when people are asking you to stick to all this food thats healthy for ya and theres no restriction in the band yet to help a little..... My will power is swaying immensly and all i can think of when they say just eat this is that if it was that easy to do I would not have had to pay thousands for the help of a lapband...Im getting another fill next week hopefulli that will help.... tanks for the advice and the support!

The group that put my band in provide a dietician with the package. And they refuse to put in a fill if the dietician doesnt sign off on what im eating. But the thing is they only want me to eat all crunchy food... ALLL DAY LONG!!! like shreddies, rivita crackers and barely cooked veg. They are all fine but it doesnt exactly give me room to love normally. If i knew that this was a condition of the band and that it would not give me restriction with normal food before I got the surgery I would not of went ahead with it. I find myself lying to the dietician just so they allow me to get my next fill. So discouraged and regreeting the money spent on the band at this point.

I have been sooo scared and paranois bout it the last two days but Ive been talking to my friends aswell and told them that I cant drink the same anymore so not to ask me to do the normal crazy stuff and they all agree that it is in my best safety... thanks again.. it always good to know the facts even if I ask a day too late ha ha

Hi everyone! Im 23 years old and ive been banded since november.... I hadnt really drank since then but as I am in college I had a few nights over the last few weeks out... I notice myself not been able to handle to much alcohol anymore and had a weird experience the last nite... I had barely drank and then had a black spell where my friends said it was like I was out of it on drugs... I dont take drugs and I was in a friends house so wasnt spiked... I find this stressing as I used to be able to drink all night and never ever have a black spell that I couldnt remember. Has anyone elde had bad experiences with drink after been banded? Ive been on the depo shot for over a year and been banded for over three months with an injection half way thru those three months and it hasnt made a difference to my weightloss or did i notice any weight gain originally.. best of luck in march.... you wont regret it...

Passed my college exams so concentrating on calories and excercise can go out the door until tomoro mornin.. I m going celebrating with some chicken and chocolate and wine!!!!! YEYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These last few days since i had my surgery are the first few positive days ive had.. Ive begun my own diet that caters to my likes but is still 10 times less then what i used eat. I started the gym now coz the doc said im fit and ready to go and feels fantastic after it. I even went for walk on the beach with my new puppy. I have so much energy i dont no what to do with it. I still have no restriction but i know now that when i do I will be mentally and physically able to handle the dip in food. It feels good to finally feel proud of myself. Nite x x x

Hey i feel the same.. I have been banded since 12 November and lost 14 pounds before surgery and only 8 pounds since my old habits of eating are creeping back and im only allowed a fill every 4 weeks so I have yet to feel any restrictions. I still havent felt hunger or fullness. I gettin disheartened that im going to be that few percent it doesnt work for and Im destined to be overweight but when i read peoples stories on this it makes me a little more positive. Knowing that others struggle as well makes me feel less disheartened. We will be a success story!

Hi guys.. I had my first fill on 28th of December but they only put in a ml... I was wondering how long do most people leave it before their 2nd fill?

Hi guys.. During my surgery the surgeon found and repaired a Hiatus Hernia. I was wondering did this happen anyone else and did they get any advice on what this is and food to avoid? Thanks Stacey

hey zil.. no im not drinking from straw.. havent had any fizzy drinks in 2 months and i only drink water but even when i eat my meal with no water i still get gassey.. i dont get it but if thats my only complaint i have i can live with it...

Hi everyone... Ive had lapband surgery on November 12th and ever since then even though I do not drink any fizzy drinks, only water I find I burp all the time.... I never used and sometimes it hurts. Anyone else experience this? Thank You Stacey
