Burping!

Hi everyone...

Ive had lapband surgery on November 12th and ever since then even though I do not drink any fizzy drinks, only water I find I burp all the time.... I never used and sometimes it hurts.

Anyone else experience this?

Thank You

Stacey

I was banded in sept 2011 and I have gas and burps sometimes. What my doctor told me to use is gas-x strips. they work wonders. you may need two or three to get it to stop but, i promise it will help. Good Luck:)

I was never a burper and if I had to I would always try to do it on th low but after surgery I found it hurt to hide them so now I belch with the best of them lol. My advice dont hold it in and try gas x strips. They do help! Good luck :)

I was banded on 12/27/11, and I have been burping ALOT since. I thought it was still some of the gas from surgery, but from what you all are saying, this is going to be pretty normal?

This is the case after I drink ANYTHING....even water...........

well, I feel for you. I did not develope the burps, in fact, I have difficulty burping. Are you drinking out of a straw? That could cause excess gas. My dr told me to not use a straw.

I am with zil, I cannot burp. In fact was at the urgent care yesterday thinking my gallbladder was done for and they found excess gas in my small intestines that was causing pain. I will take the gas x from now on. I would rather be like you and burp, lol!

i'm burping a lot while i'm up and rippin the runway when I'm lying down. I do take my mylanta chews. i ate my first meal and right in between chews a big belch came gurgling out and my son just stopped chewing and looked at me in disgust. I apologized but I just couldn't control it. It felt so good, i don't know if I would have tried... lol
