LAP-BAND Patients

I waited 6 weeks for my 2nd fill which I just had on Tuesday morning. My next fill is scheduled for 1/31 so 4 weeks out. I have 4 cc's right now...

My doc always waits 6 weeks between fills. My first 3 fills were all 6 weeks apart and then that lasted me a yr. Call your doc to see how long you have to wait!

LAP-BAND Patients

I have been going every four weeks for a fill. My doctor told me that the first few fills will go easy because we aren't close to "getting the fit" in the perfect zone. I am losing weight, so there isn't much rush either. I've been explained that the less fill you take to achieve restriction is like, "money in the bank." The band will retain its future ability to put more restriction if need be. Between exercise and lots of protein I am making my goals. The band's help to get off 30 pounds really helped me be able to work out and back pain has gone to almost zero. Next fill Jan. 18th, my third fill since 10-20-11 surgery.

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi Shadowstacey, I just read your question regarding fills...I was banded August 19, 2011 and received my first fill September 19, 2011. I have gotten a fill every 2 weeks since then, for a total of 8 fills. I believe I have a total of 9.25 ml in my band which will hold 14 (the dr put 4 ml in at the time of surgery). It took me a while to get to the green zone, but I have officially lost 70 pounds ... half way to my goal.

You can do this, and you are going to love the progress.

Congrats
