I can't drink milk because it effects me that same exact way. It might not be the sugar it could be the milk.

My Super Fast (But Long)Sleeve Story.
Welcome to the loser's bench. Congrat's on your surgery and the weight you have already lost. I am 10 weeks out today and there are still some smells that bother me but not near what they did after surgery, thank God. I loved your story you did great. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Holy Cow My Loss Has Really Sloooooowed!
Our bodies are amazing they change with every passing day after VSG. We just need to give them time to adjust to all the changes. The weight will and does come off. You stated that you went from couch to 5k, so you could be building muscel which weights more than fat. You lowered your calories but if exercising you need more for the body to burn it. You could be retaining fluids as well. There are so many reasons that you are not losing weight but I bet you are toning and losing inches. If your not measuring yourself maybe you could start. This is a much better way to gauge what is going on with your body. I am only 10 weeks out and have had a few set backs even to the point of gaining 2 pounds early on, I started measuring, increased the calories (900-1100) and drink a lot more Water (8-10oz), I don't just go by weight anymore either. Making me a much happier person during the no weight loss times. Keep up what you are doing and the weight will and does come off, just give your body time to adjust to all the new things gong on with it. Before you know it you will be in onederland, Best wishes and happy losing.

Disappointed!
You can do this, just take one day at a time and if you have to start from all over with just liquids then mush and then food. You have come to far to let this set-back get you. I have to ask myself do I need this food or do I crave this food and why. It doesn't always work but I am starting to make good choices about the food I'm eating. We are here for you and only want the best for you. Will keep you in my prayers.

Dont Know If My Diabetes Wants To Leave :(
I was sleeved Dec 12, 2011 I also had type 2 diabetes before VSG. I was in the 140's for the first few weeks until I started using www.myfitnesspal.com and I could see how much sugar I was taking in. I try to keep my intake around 35 gm a day and my numbers are now in the 70's but not higher than 120. I have 1 more A1C check before the doctor will remove it (Diabetic) from my file, can't wait for that day.

9 Weeks Still Amazed And Tickled Pink
Wow it has already been 9 weeks and I still marvel at the changes my body is taking on. I weighted in this morning at 280.6 that is so awesome that puts me down 56.4 lbs. WOW. I have lost 23 inches over all and am feeling so wonderful (other than a stupid cold right now). The doctor told me not to except large weight loss numbers now that I am further out but they keep coming off and I am so thankful for that. I am still off all medication until the 16th when I see the heart doctor. I don't feel like I need them anymore but that will be up to him as to weather I get to stay off them. I feel great even while at the gym. So I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying for good news Thursday. I have only one regret in all of this is that my mom can't be here to see it. I wish I would have had the sleeve done years ago it would have saved me so much grief over the past years. Step by Step Day by Day with Jesus is all I can hope for. I thank Him for so much and for making it possible for me to have this surgery. Oh yeah this is such ego boosting for me, I bought a dress last year for Valentines Day through a catalog. When it got here they had sent me a size 22, no way was I going to fit in that thing being at a size 28. I didn't even send it back I was so upset. I just hung it in the deepest corner of my closet and forgot about it. Today looking for something to wear that didn't fall off, lol, I noticed it hiding there, so I took it out and laid it on the bed. Yeah right, I though, that thing is still way to small for me. I kept staring at it. Oh what the heck I tried it on laughing the whole time but slap me silly it fits and fits good. Will wonders never end, I hope not. Have a Happy Valentines Day and Good losing all.

Favorite Blender?
Amazon has the Blender bottles (brand name) in all the colors. I use a baby bullet it works great and not a big clean-up. They work well together.

Post-Op Weight
I weight once a week and measure once a week on the day after that of my surgery (surgery Monday weight Tuesday of every week). Each person is different as to how much they lose I lost 30 lbs in the first 12 days but I was large to begin with. Our bodies are changing day for day right now and 1 day you could be minus and the next you are plus for a number of reasons. It is much easier to take it by the week then by day. Your body will stall at one time or another but during that time it is readjusting it's self. You will see your clothes fit different at those times. Just remember that through all of this you are getting healthier than you have ever been and all these changes are for the best. If you haven't measured yourself yet I suggest that you do so. The changes in inches are just as important as the weight changes, but they also go up and down as you gain muscle where nothing was before. .I hope this helps you on your journey for a happier, healthier you. Welcome to the loser's club.

I developed early was a 34 DD in high school then up to a 40 G when carrying my kids, surgery day (12-11-11) was a 48 DDD. Thank God today I am in a 46 D they are a bit saggy but am happy for the weight to be off my back, and I hope to lose more of them. 8 Weeks Out And Doing Great
I had my check-up in Vegas this morning and most of it was really good. According to their scale I weight 290 but that is good 47 lbs for their records. I still like my scale better 285 this morning = 52 lbs lost. Was given my card to show the buffet cashiers so I don't get charged a ton. Was cleared to do what ever I want and eat what ever I want (except soda). I don't have to go back for 3 months YEAH!!!! Picked up a few snack bars and some more hot coco yummy. It was a good trip all in all. On the down side I was told I wasn't eating enough calories he wants me at 1000 to 1100 calories a day (instead of 600-900). I will give it my best shot. Happy Journey trails for all.

How Long Till Incisons Close Up? Planning Vaca To Beach
Doctor said I was good to go swimming and taking a bath when the glue and strips fell off. They came off in about 3 weeks. I would call and make sure what your doctor says before doing either of them. Vaca at the beach sounds awesome.

Eight Weeks Out And Im At A Stall, Why? What Can I Do To Jump Start This?
I to was sleeved on 12/12/11 and at 5 weeks gained 2.4 pounds freaked out. It took another week and half before I started losing again. During this time my body was making it's own changes in the form of inches. I lost 3 inches over all during that time. I also changed how much I weighted myself to once a week (Tuesdays) the day after surgery. Because the scale was making me crazy :Banane55: .
