We CAN do this :biggrin5: also, ive had some cheese as well and was wondering if that messes anything up. does anyone know?

  14. I'm trying my insurance out first and if they deny then I'll go self pay as well. Thanks for the info and good luck with your surgery.
  15. Very true.. I tried telling my aunt and the first thing she said was "why don't you actually tryyyy for once." She even told me I should go to OA (over-eaters anonymous) and give them a try before having something this big. That's when I decided the only "family" support I really needed was my dad and my church family. Good luck to you!
  16. Thanks, you too! I'm trying to have mine in Charlotte so hopefully it'll all go through very fast
  17. Aww well good luck! Where are you having your surgery?
  18. Hey guys! I'm new to this site and was hoping that yall would share your journey with me. I went to my seminar on 12/7/11 and have my consultation with the surgeon on 12/21. I've already been to my doctor and got all the paper work I need for insurance but I want to be completely prepared when I go see the surgeon. I'm really anxious to have this done by late January or early February; am I crazy? Haha hope not but I look forward to reading yalls posts. Thanks! Blessings, Chelsea
  19. Ha sounds like my dad. He told me if I tried to go overseas that I'd come back either in a box or missing half of my organs. Gotta love family; don't have to like them though
  20. ncstatebabe posted a blog entry in VSG journey
Well yall, this is my first post and I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm so excited for this surgery and it can't happen fast enough. I went to my first seminar on 12/07/11 and decided that the gastric sleeve was for me. I have my initial consultation with the surgeon on 12/21/11 and I have no idea how long it will take after that. I'm hoping to have the surgery done by late January-February, but I'm not sure if this is even possible. Let me know how long yall's process took (insurance, appointments, surgery, etc.) and what I should expect. Thanks! Blessings, Chelsea <3
