My date is 2/6 as well!!!!

I noticed that a few of us have 2/6 sleeve dates, so I thought I'd give us our own pre-op thread. On 2/6 we can make our very own POST-op thread!

I can not wait to make an "I'm SLEEVED!" thread. I've been reading them for months and was always so envious, wondering if I'd ever be able to make one of my own. Now it's becoming a reality!!

My date February 16, 2012. I'm nervous!!

Hi Bedhead...I got a called from my surgeon's office this a.m. and it is possible that I'm going to be bumped up to 1/30 ...!!! I'm excited but... wow, that's really soon. So I might not be a sleeve sister with you (just a close cousin or something...)

OMG That is so exciting! I was originally scheduled for Feb. 20th.... but then got a phone call that I was being bumped to 2/6. I was so excited I could barely contain myself!

bday and it is a lucky day!! :-> Fingers crossed!!

Curious.. How is everyone handling telling people?? I know it

is a personal decision? I've been open about it and told

everyone close to me... Some of them are big gossipers so

the word is out I'm sure but that is ok with me.

i only told a handful, those closest to me. Im sure it will be noticeable in a few months though

LOL @ Operation Sexy 2012- I'm totally working on the same operation over here too! I am going to get sexy before 30 if it kills me!!!

As for telling people- The only people who know are my husband and my medical doctors. I've had issues with my stomach for a long time so as far as extended family knows- I'm having those issues fixed. It's nice because I get all of the support of having surgery with none of the judgment and opinions.

I have also decided to only tell those very close to me, my fiance, my parents, and my two daughters know. I have to admit though, it feels a little strange cause I want to go shout it from the rooftops I'm so excited:) my docs are Dr Ludwig and Dr Simchuk in Chico, ca. I get to have the surgery in the hospital where I work as a nurse so keeping it quiet may prove to be a little tricky! I'm so freakin happy for us! Woo hoo!

So tell me your docs and such please..(;

I am getting my VSG done in Burlington, MA. at the Lahey Clinic.

VSG surgery has just started being performed in New England it seems

during this past year. Not alot of long term data. My hospital just

started offering it this past year.

How about in other areas of the US, like Texas and California?? Have

they been offering this procedure longer than the past year??

To answer your ? At first I was telling everyone I met and was getting alot of negitive reveiw. I felt the all the neg. vibes slow my process. So when I had to start over I told my husband, my mother, and my children. Since no one will visit me I am not worried. I started to tell everyone that I started a new diet. I am going to have a coming out party at my wedding recept

I'm getting sleeved at Community Hospital in Upstate NY be Dr. Howard Simon. He's been doing the VSG for years now and he says it's his favorite WLS and he recommends it to all of his patients.
