Vlogs
I don't vlog but I love watching them! They have been a major help in me making my decision for LB as well as just an overall confidence booster and positive place to see and listen to people who've gone through what I am going through and who have experience in LB life changes. If you do decide to start one let me know your youtube channel name so I can #subscribe! Good Luck!

Can You Get Approved For Lap Band Surgery If You Have No Health Problems?
I (thank God) have no health issues other than being considered morbidly obese by way of my BMI and am approved and will be paid for 100%.

Wow...i Gave Up Sugar
I too have let go of the sugary crap. I only have it in my coffee creamer which I have only once a day. I, like yourself, am preparing myself for lifestyle changes before my surgery so that will be one less thing to think about after surgery. I've also quite sugary drinks and have decided that the only things I will drink with calories in them are protein shakes, coffee and milk (or milk subs). We'll get there

3 Month Diet For Insurance
I'm doing WW as well for the next three months. I've actually been doing it for 6 months but my surgeon says that the insurance won't accept a receipt as proof of my doing the program which really sucked but..No worries what's 3 more months if I live 60 more years at a healthy weight

Fitbit Or Bodybug?
Love, love, looooove my body bugg!! Best fitness tool I've ever purchased! I don't know what a fitbit is but I was first introduced to the bodybugg by beachbody fans, I love Chalean Johnson (maker of Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme) and its been a major help in keeping me focused on my weight loss goals.

Surgery Vs. Faith
My faith teaches me that nothing happens without the will of God. And if it brings about good then you can rest assured that it is a blessing from God. It also reminds me that Satan is very aware of human consciousness and our fears. he (Satan) has been around a long time and knows what to whisper to a person to make them doubt a decision that might lead them to glorify God in a way they've never been capable of doing. Just imagine how wonderful it would be for you to not carry around a ton of weight, how much easier it would be for you to praise and worship God, how grateful of a servant you would become and how high your confidence would soar. Satan knows that if he can keep you in this state of mind in body (spirit) he can keep you away from God. God creates, man manipulates. If there is a tool out there that can help you reach your weight loss goals you should thank God for His mercy on those of us who thought we were doomed to this unhealthy state of physical self, that He has given us the knowledge to create the tools to cure ourselves. God bless you and keep you in a positive state of mind! :-D

First Call, "hello, This Is Heaven."
LOL! "I'm a tree" Well if you're an everyday tree than I'm a sequoia because I'm 6'1!! and haven't seen 192 since the 3rd grade!!! I Have been moving up the scale since. Now after 2 babies and a wonderful life I'm in the 300's and well...height doesn't hide everything (as you can attest to :-) Anyway, have you decided to get the surgery or are you still researching?

Eating Addiction And Emotional Eating: How Have You Coped After Being Lap Banded?
Sounds like a really good (anxiety free) time . I'm working now (before surgery) at learning how to eat like a bander so that once I am banded it won't be so new to me.

Eating Addiction And Emotional Eating: How Have You Coped After Being Lap Banded?
So I'm sure that many can relate when I say I feel as though I have an eating problem, maybe even a slight addiction. I know my triggers and I know my likely times in which I am more apt to overeat, however, I've yet to go to my psych evaluation (next week ) So I'm wondering for all those who know what its like to be reliant on food for more than just hunger, explain to me please how you've coped with or broken your negative eating habits, food addictions and or emotional eating problems. Thank you!

Being Banded On 1/9/2012
Congrats! I don't know why your surgeon has decided to wait till FEB to do your first fill, mine explained to me that he will fill mine to 3cc's on the table (which I'm very happy about!) but what Arzel says makes perfect sense and seems to be the popular choice for most surgeons.

What To Expect? What Happened At Your First Lap Band Surgery Appointment?
So I met with my (hopefully-soon-to-be) surgeon at a seminar last week and made an appointment with him for this week. I found out that my insurance (United Healthcare: Choice Plus) will cover my surgery (Thank GOD!) and I turned in all my medical history and personal information regarding insurance to the surgeon the day of the seminar so I'm wondering...what's next? I'm super excited and very anxious to get a surgery date...how long did it take you after confirmation of payment through insurance? What did you talk about? What HAPPENS NEXT?!? Thanks for your input
