  1. I know. I guess I am thinking how I could have consumed 11 oz. at a time so soon, since I can't even get in 8 oz. yet!
  2. Wow that soon after surgery, you should still be on no more than 4 oz. at a time? Be careful of your intake. I am on regular foods now and was just moved up to 8 oz. at a time ( although i can't get it all in). Creamed soup sound like it should be in the full liquid stage, but not on clear liquids. Please be careful!
  3. I am going out to eat for the first time tomorrow and I am excited about it. I would like to go to Cheesecake Factory sincethey have such a huge menu and a great light menu. Can't wait!
  4. I can' t have bread yet but was craving a sandwich so I made an open face with a light rye WASA cracker, a slice of muenster cheese, mustard, a piece of turkey lunchmeat, and a sliced dill pickle! It tasted sooo good and was very filling. Makes me think I may never want real bread again!
  5. My dr automatically prescribed something for me to take everyday for about 3 months. Alot of them do that. I'm sure your dr would. It is Not uncommon after surgery I guess, however, I have not had it since I have been taking it everyday! Hope you get it resolved.
  6. I was on a picc line and tpn 18 days as a precaution for an esophagal leak from my hiatial hernia! What a drag! I know how excited you are right now to be rid of that! Congratulations and now on with your weight loss journey! You will enjoy the taste of food now so much!
  7. Wow what an awesome post and such a great accomplishment! I think I need to get off the couch and go get on my treadmill after reading that! What an inspiration!
  8. How far out are you? Are you on regular foods yet?
  9. My doctor and dietician suggested them and said it was fine to eat them as long as I took small bites and chewed well. That's why I like the Snak'mm's cuz they are so small. and even if you eat just one, it gives your diet kind of a zing you are craving! I was advised though to peel anything with skin (apples, pears, tomatoes) right now.
  10. You will be fine. I never had any pain after my sleeve, so don't think you will. Think positive and think what a great thing you are doing for yourself and your body!
  11. Thanks. I think I will try to slice it about 3/4 thick and slice onions and garlic and kind of layer it and see what happens!
  12. You look awesome! Keep it up! Congrts on your loss so far!
  13. The Vlasic Snack'mm's are really good and crunchy. There are three in a serving cuz they are small, but even if you only eat one, it is very tasty and crunchy. No calories or carbs. tastes good with turkey slice and string cheese.
  14. Don't worry, you aren't eating enough to gain weight! Also my doctor told me when I started on regualr food that I would lose faster. Seems to be working!
  15. I just found this recipe for Tagine Spice Rub somplace online. I thought I would share it cuz I saw a small pack at World market and it was very expensive. Tagine Spice Rub: Ingredients: 2 teaspoons paprika 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom 1 teaspoon Kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder 3/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  16. Hi chef I was wondering if you need to dice up the meat first or if you have ever tried doin a whole piece? I just bought a 1 lb. pork tenderloin. Can I put it in whole or would it be better to even slice it up first? You are the pro that's why i am asking!
  17. I know with me if it was really cold instead of room temp. I felt that way once. Try it at room temp and see if that helps. I find I burp more after liquids if not room temp for some reason!
  18. I am not supposed to go over. 600-800 calories a day. To me also, 1,100 sounds like alot. Do you have a dietician in your doctor's office?
  19. Wow that is awesome. Keep up the good work. I am excited too about waering sleeveless and tank tops this summer! YAY for the sleeve!
  20. I too was told 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. I understand the reason but it is very hard for me to get used to also. I want a drink right after I am done eating! But I don't! Will it always be like that or will that change several months out?
  21. Wow you look great! Congratsand keep on losin'.
