Wow what an accomplishment! You look great!

Wow you all sound so ambitous! I only have 60 lbs. to lose but it is all in my abdomen and I can't do anything I am so uncomfrtable I want to be able to wear my jeans tucked into my boots, cut my toenails, go into my closet and not wear the same top and jeans everyday, wear a black tee shirt tucked into jeans with a black belt, walk on the treadmill 40 minutes without running out of breath after 5 minutes, and wear cute clothes with belts without looking like I have a belt around a redwood tree trunk! LOL!

My sleeve date is the 14th, but it sounds like you may need some variety in your diet. Does your doctor have a dietician in the office? I bought a great cookbook called Weight Loss Surgery recipes for Dummies on Amazon and there are several other cookbooks on Amazon that give some great recipes for you after weight loss surgery that will give you the protein you need to continue losing. Just a thought! CXongrats on your success so far!

Thanks! I live right across the street from Trader Joe's and not far from WalMart or Whole Foods so i should be able to find them. Sounds so good since I am right now on a liquid diet!

Afro_Cyster, I have been having the Premier Protein shakes from Costco. 3 per day. They taste great. 30 grams protein. Then chicken broth twice a day and then sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. That I guess it is working for me. I had a hair appt today and even my hairdresser noticed my stomach "bloat" was gone! This time of the year is hard for anyone to be on a liquid diet! You will be fine. hopefully you have some vitamins (iron especially) to take to help make you feel better. I will be praying for you and can't wait to hear about your progress. Keep your chin up and just think about how good you will be feeling in a couple of weeks. It will all be worth it! janet

Thinking of Babigrl today as she is sleeved! Can't wait only 5 more days for me! I have lost 8 lbs. on my preop in just 3 days so i am very excited!

My preop is doing better than I thought. I went to the mall today and took with me in a small cooler the Protein Plus premixed drinks from Costco (very good) and a sugar free jello. I drank a bottle of water on the way there and to home, now I am having my Unjury chicken broth. I guess this proves we can really survive without eating all the time! I can't wait til I am on the soft foods stage so i can puree some soups. What is the average people lose during the preop? Anyone know?

Anyone getting sleeved on December 14th? Only 6 more days til my sleeve! YAY!

Roxyrooster, No I have not had any caffeine for a long time, so i guess it is just an adjustment. I will get over the headaches soon i hope!

What is so special about Greek yogurt? I have tried so many brands and flavors and cannot stand it! I love other yogurts though.

I started my pre op today and had 2 protein shakes so far, then some sugar free jello. Then I got a horrific stomach ache followed by uncontrollable runs! Is this normal? (Or is this how you lose the weight preop?)

I have Anthem Blue Cross and they have a BMI of 35 and mine was 32 so they would not even look at it. My issue is that 60% of my weight is fat. My doctor says they get a number down and they won't budge from it. They don't care about the individual and other issues they may have. He said they get incentive bonuses for reaching a particular amount for denials. So I am paying for this myself (luckily I have good credit). I heard that after January 1st alot of companies were no longer going to cover alot of bariatric surgery because they feel as though it has become a fad. What is our world coming to?

My surgery date is the 14th. I started my preop today but yesterday I did it to and only had soup for dinner and lost 2 1/2 lbs. I guess we are all full of water and bloat! The only thing I notice is I have a constant headache with no solid foor and can't take anything but Tylenol before surgery which is just like eating candy for me does nothing. So I guess i will get out the heating pad for my head! I am so excited for all of us! YAY! I want to see the pounds dropoff onto the floor!

My dietician says Ensure is a no no. Too many carbs.

Wow 170 lbs! That is awesome. I hope us decmber 2011 sleevers are just as successful! 8 days til my sleeve!
