Lower BMI Bandsters!
Thanks Audree, appreciate it alot. The only thing I can think of now is, how long before you can take a bath? Im missing reading in the bath ha ha. Im sure Ill have millions of questions in the next few days. ps: My goal for next week is to walk daily. It takes alot to motivate me unfortunately and it is soooo cold in London at the moment but I am going to do at least 40 mins a day.

Am I 'eating' too much on the liquid stage?
I just cant seem to fill up today? My head hunger is excruciating too. Today I have eaten (its now 730pm and intend to stop) 2 x actimel yogurt drinks 2 x cups of bouillion 2 x cups of tomato soup 1 x cup of ham and pea soup (I chewed and chewed and chewed some of the ham in the soup - naughty I know) lots of water. Yesterday I ate 1 x actimel yogurt 1 x soya drink (low fat) 1 x tomato soup 1 x pomegranate juice 2 x low fat milk iced lolly things (they are tiny) Please tell me if that is too much? Im terrified of eating too much. ps: Im on my fifth day since being banded. Thanks in advance Lily xx

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Hi Low BMI'ers. Im three days out of surgery and feeling ok. Just very very bloated but I understand this is normal. Ive been reading the forums alot over the last three days and am concerned that I wasnt given an xray the day after. Was this the case for anyone else? Also how much liquids did everyone consume? Yesterday I feel like I had too much. I had: 2 x miso soup 1 x low fat strawberry soy drink 1 x actimel yogurt 1 x watered down tomato soup 2 x chuba chup lollies (I know these were bad but as I was at the cinema I was tempted) 1 x low fat fudgicle Is that too much? I didnt feel like it was but when I wrote it down it seemed very piggy.

Banded yesterday - 24th Feb
Thanks Guys. Came out of hospital this morning and went for a walk this afternoon, that definitely helped. Im amazed at how ok I actually feel. Gas and a bit of dizzyness is all really. Girlinnyc, I have only taken one pain killer since I left the hospital for my shoulder pain. Ill definitely take some tonight though so I sleep all the way through. The thing that is irritating me the most is how bloated I feel. I look about 9 months pregnant. x

Keeping the band a "secret"???
I am being banded next week and I have only told my mum and dad. I also let slip to a close friend who told me they are currently saving for the same op. I am telling NO one else. I have however had to tell a few people (work related and best friend who is male) I am having an operation so have said it is 'womens issues'. Im quite a private person but I also feel a little embarrassed about it and do not want to be judged. Perhaps it is due to my age (26) and the fact all my friends are thin naturally.

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Thank you for replying Denise. I need to lose 30 kilos - I think that is about 66 pounds. I now weigh right on 100 kilos and want to be 70 kilos. I am hoping that excercise will help ... especially weights. Anyone think this has helped them with loose skin? ps: Please pass on my congratulations to your daughter, her weight loss is fantastic and an inspiration. May I ask you how long this has taken her?

Lower BMI Bandsters!
Hi Guys, I have a BMI of 37 and am 5ft6. I am being banded next Saturday and am quite nervous. The biggest thing that is worrying me is loose skin. Did many low bmi bandsters experience loose skin? Im 26 so hoping my age will work for me, I do however have stretch marks on my stomach. Would really value any replies. Thanks x

Drinking whilst eating
I am seriously considering having a lapband (already seen the surgeon) but the one thing I am worried about is the no liquids whilst eating. I work in a very social industry which involves alot of cocktail parties/client dinners etc and am thinking it will be impossible to not drink whilst eating. Im not just talking alcohol but Water aswell. Im willing to try my hardest and certainly wont drink when at home, I just know that I will find it hard when out. How strict do you have to be with that? Thanks guys x
