  1. are you referring to the vitamins or the protein powder stuff? I take the vitamins
  2. my psych doctor told me that if my family eats at 8pm and i get off of work at 630pm that its best that I either drink a Protein Drink or eat a Protein Bar as a replacement instead of eating at 8pm only to go to bed at 9pm...
  3. I calorie count. I try to battle for the lowest calorie great tasting meal...usually chicken with some veggies...
  4. now I'm gonna get some prescribed!
  5. on the other hand my two year has gas that will ALWAYS outrank mine. My god it was bad.
  6. quite a bit of banders in June!
  7. I'm pretty psyched to get through this journey...
  8. I initially took offense to you calling me Junior but then again you got that from my ranking on the message board "Junior Guru". However my name isn't Junior.
  9. I started a partial stink storm. I take five flights of stairs up and down 3 times a day at work. I also walk between 2-4 miles a day. Adding that to your normal calorie burnoff during the day. I am up at 6am and to bed at 10pm and I have a two year old. I guarantee you I burn off at least 2800-3000 calories a day. i also keep track with my fitbit and I subtract about 10 percent off of that.

Anyone here go through some sort of depression or start feeling "blue" after getting banded? I was banded on 06/04/2012 and this week started feeling blue for no reason...
  12. I'm consuming between 800 and 1200 calories...hopefully my weightloss will continue. I tend to walk about 4-5 miles a day...
  13. I was banded on 06/04/2012 and I have lost 15lbs since.
  14. Congrats on getting banded!
  15. I'm 5'10", aged 36. My starting weight was 265. My highest weight was 270. I currently weigh 250-252. I was just banded on 06/04/2012. I'm enjoying my journey so far. I won't get my first fill until 7/20/2012. My meals for today was: Cottage Cheese and protein drink for breakfast Small salad with a very light amount of dressing and a spoonful of tuna. For Snack I had a few almonds and a little low sodium turkey jerky (had to really chew it up). I consume about 1200 calories a day and burn about 3000-3600 calories a day... I walk about 4-6 miles a day (at this stage). As I get further along I'm going to add other types of exercises and increase my burn and adjust what I eat. It's very obtainable for me.

For most...lapband is an outpatient procedure. My starting weight is 265. I would be satisfied if I just lost 70 lbs....(very obtainable with the band). I know that within a couple to few years most bariatric units will also do the plication with the lapband...would be interesting to see more long term results with it to see if it has a higher success rate than with just lapband.... this incisionless procedure just sounds like a temporary fad to me.
  17. YOU ALL ARE LUCKY! I have to wait 5 weeks for my first fill
  18. I had a liver reduction diet....No Fat, Lean Lean Proteins. Zero Sugar... I combined that with liquids.
  19. I'm lucky is that I rarely got weight comments growing up. Part of it is being a guy and 100 lbs overweight...for whatever reason is more acceptable to society. I can't wait until I get down to my highschool weight. It's going to be great.
  20. I'm sure you have Carolinagirl!
  21. I went to a seminar and someone who got lapband a few years ago and was now at a healthy weight was asked by someone at the seminar this very question...and after they gave their answer ... the person who asked the question (who was fairly obese) said (seriously said this) ... that they can't wait to trust a fart. the guy who answered her question said "excuse me?" and she said even louder "to trust a fart, because I haven't been able to trust a fart in years because of all of this (waving her hands up and down her own body)". I had to walk out of the room.
