  1. I don't see anything wrong with what you've all eaten. You are doing just fine! Remember it has a lot to do with how much you are eating!
  2. my wife has described a similar feeling. You'll get through this frustration. The band works. I believe in ya!
  3. I consider myself new here. I should be getting the band in June 2012. I have an education class on May 2, 2012. I've already had the six months of required doctor's visits. I have a psych eval on April 18, 2012. So I'm guessing as long as my insurance moves swiftly (which my case manager says they do). I'm looking at the first half of June 2012 to be banded. Thankfully I have good insurance and I have a fsa to assist in paying for the rest of what the insurance won't pay. Good luck to you and everyone else in their journey!
  4. Keep us up to date please! Everything will work out. Sorry you're having to deal with this. I'm glad its getting fixed!
  5. Sorry to hear what youve gone through.....i know the band today is different than the band five years afo
  6. I think you'll do just fine. I'm 5'10" and weight 265. I'll be getting banded in early June. This was after researching for the past year and watching my wife who got banded in October 2011. I'm wanting to get down 100+lbs. I'm looking forward to the transformation.
  7. Hi everyone! I'm 35 years old (a male) and I'm at the very very beginning stages of getting banded. I've gone to one of 6 doctor visits and I'm planning on going to a seminar this month. My BMI is 40 and I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. My wife was banded a couple months ago, and she really likes her surgeon, so I'll probably use him as well. I look forward to many future discussions with everyone1
  8. My wife was banded a couple months ago. I plan on using her's, but I still have 5 weigh-in's. I'm going to a seminar this month.
  9. So I am 5 foot 9 (or 9.5) and I weigh around 275 (I'm 35) and I've recently found out I have severe sleep apnea. November was my first of six visits with my PCP. I've signed up to go to a seminar in December and I'm hoping by the middle of summer of 2012 I'll have the lap band. Are there many out on the message board around my age with a BMI of 40? My ideal weight is around 160-170.
