  1. At 4 weeks out there was some discomfort. I was on a puree at 3 weeks. This is quite a transitional period where your stomach is adjusting somewhat. Take it slow and if it's really painful, please call your surgeon because it's not normal....
  2. I am so proud of you! You look fabulous! Keep up the hard work......
  3. So happy that I have lost so much of my weight..... This is truly the right decision for me to help lose my excess lbs....... Thank you for sharing this pic! It truly helps put things in perspective.....
  4. Yesterday morning I had an endoscopy done. It wasn't as bad as I thought, the worst part is having to go without water for an extended amount of time and my fear of becoming dehydrated. I was so excited to have an IV for the extra saline . Well i didn't get much of the IV, right after the procedure, the IV came out of my arm . Then my blood pressure was low so they put a new one in my arm. After 1/2 a small bag, blood pressure went up and I was released to come home. I am so amazed at how excited I was to get an IV. Water intake has been a real struggle here and I drink 64oz a day and the next morning I'm headachey and feeling dehydrated. This is pretty much every AM. The pictures of my stomach are so cool. Looks like a sausage to boot. I have one spot that's thick and has muscosa. I am amazed at the size of my stomach due to my sleeve! It's the best..... Just wish I could get more water in so I don't get dehyrated.
  5. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy! You rock girl!
  6. This is the first day of your new journey! CONGRATS! Plus this is one of the scariest days in your life too.... Sending you healing energy your way!
  7. Today is the last day of your old journey, and tomorrow is the first day to a new journey....Congrats! This is so worth it.....Sending healing energy your way!
  8. Can you give us some more information like what your eating, portion sizes, and weigh today and how much more you want to lose. I really miss seeing your ticker here.
  9. This is way too many carbs......Where's the protein? When you eat protein, you get fuller faster and plus, you drop more weight. Other wise your body is starving for protein and using your muscle mass to compensate.........
  10. Wow, you are so lucky to have such a wonderful gift basket! CONGRATS!
  11. I believe you need to be as proactive as possible and tell the surgeon you want the hernia removed at the same time of the surgery. If he senses that you will seek another surgeon that will do the repair at the same time, he will most likely change his mind. My surgeon's practice has decreased by 30% in her own words. Just info...
  12. I know how frustrating it is to be stuck and having other issues happening and the emotional eating hitting us at the same time. When I get off track, I go back to the basics. Protein, protein, protein and some veggies. I realized that I am making my eating habits of working on the protein. LilMissDiva's basic boot camp really helps getting back on track and it's really basic and easy to follow. Here it is: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of Water (128 oz.) or Protein drinks. Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc.
  13. I like the taste, but I really hate the way ketoses affects my brain. I have foggy thinking. Sometimes my thoughts just don't happen or the words don't come out correctly. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a trance. Gosh, I really hate this feeling!
  14. This is fabulous! Congrats! How about eat healthy, exercise and no more of a gain of 25 lbs give or take a few! You can do this! So happy for you.....
  15. My friend had the gastric bypass and after a year she could eat candy and has gained 40 lbs back. So it's not a cure for a sweet tooth. The gastric bypass will stretch more than the sleeve too.
  16. Don't freak out, it's really no big deal. At least with a shot, your covered....I want one too.
  17. You will look really sexy and dance in your new size with a ton more energy!
  18. I do understand why your surgeon decided to not do the surgery. My surgeon's took me off my medications a few weeks before the surgery and for quite a while after the surgery. And after surgery there is hormonal reactions that can trigger some severe episodes that will cause havoc for you. wishing you the best.
  19. I'd call the surgeon's office and go back to soft foods like yogurt and shakes for now....
  20. Ditto all the above! Make sure your taking all your vitamins too!
  21. I love being on cloud 9! I would do this again in a heart beat...
  22. If you have come this far then finish the journey. If you don't then you will truly regret it. I would do it in a heart beat. I truly believe your sister will be changing her mind too when she feels better. It is hard but well worth it.....
  23. In a tight family like firefighters, I would tell them. They do care about you and will see you change your eating habits and amounts and they can also watch your back too when in the line of fire.......If they are a nay sayer, then so what.....
