I Hate Eating....
Yes, in the beginning I hated eating too. I ate alot of mushies, yogurt, sf pudding, soups, whatever was easy to go down. Now I don't have any difficulties eating and I'm 4.75 months post op. So it does get better, hang in there!

Revision To Ds
I believe that I have to work with my sleeve to have success. I have to find coping skills to stop myself from sabotaging my weight with old triggers to eating the wrong thing. It will be a problem fo a long time. The sleeve is a great tool to decrease our appetites. It will be with us forever. I love my sleeve, it's me!

Week 11-- Sooo Bummed Right Now. But Tryin To Keep My Head Up
My week is really strange also. My father in-law who is 92 years old fell and hit his head and fractured the back of his skull. It was also my birthday and anniversary. Spent them in the hospital with him and family. That was nice i was able to see family I haven't seen in ages. But, I haven't been very good with my diet. I've been eating some candy here and there. Had times when I felt like I was deprived of food and ate stuff I shouldn't have. I find my head looking for things to eat and my stomach isn't hungry. I need to go back on the basic bootcamp diet starting tomorrow. Yep, that's what I'm going to do. Sorry I got off on a tangen. Since you have injuries from previous accidents, then it's time to take better care of your wonderful body. It's ok to take a little time off to heal, your get farther in the long run. I love your ambition of the tough mudder competition! That's determination in the process. But slow down enjoy your down time and get back on track when the pain has subsided.

Incision Pain
Running up those stairs did it! It aggravated that muscle that has the incision in it. When ever I traveled up the mountain, my incision site where the muscle is always got sore with some pain. It lasted about 8 weeks post op. Try not to aggravate the muscle and you will be fine.

Will A Revision Work For Me?
You are having alot of head hunger. I'm glad your seeing a therapist. However, your not losing weight because you give in to your head hunger. If you want to loose weight, you need to avoid those foods that made you fat to start with. pizza for me is a big no no. I would be eating Protein, protein, and protein, veggies, and tiny bit of starches. You really need to focus on the food you fuel your body with. Your lap band is not to blame, it is the choices of food you choose. I really hope I'm not being harsh, I just want to be honest with you. Start changing your dies and start exercising. You will begin to lose weight and retrain your thoughts to activities instead of food.

I Was Sooo Bad Yesterday!
Woww. At 4 weeks out i was still eating soft foods like yogurt, Protein shakes, sf puddings, and maybe a scrambled egg. I am fearful of not losing my weight so I try to under eat my sleeve. I myself would not be able to eat what you at in one meal. I am 4.5 months post op and maybe eat 2 oz of dense protein, a bite or 2 of veggies and I am so done. Full to the brim. I did have a bad day yesterday and ate more than I should have, and have learned a lesson. I will never do that again. I like not feeling my stomach feel compressed. Please take it slow. What's the rush. This is the time to change all the old habits that contributed to your weight before surgery. Don't have those horrible foods in your house where you can see them and have the head hunger that not real hunger. It's really really hard, but you can do this.

My Journey...
I'm from OC's Kaiser and I attended the Option's program there. They reduced the 6 month period to a 12 week time period and I had to wait until that department contacted me for class time availability. I took the first class that was available and went through the process. After finishing the Option's I was referred to the Dr. Leport's office. That took about 6 weeks, and then I had to wait for a surgery date. It was a long process, but in the Option's class, I learned so much. It was very helpful. Good luck on your journey, it's well worth it.

Disappointed In Myself, But Learned A Lesson.
I just learned another lesson yesterday. When to my in-laws, and I didn't want to eat there because my father in law was being brought home from the hospital. Other family members came and left. Our intentions were to visit and head up to Laguna Beach and have something to eat. I was so hungry that when we left the house, I told my husband that I really needed a snack. He said he wasn't hungry and grumbled a bit. But I was so hungry. I went into 7 eleven and tried to make a really good choice. My hunger and since of being deprived, I chose big bag a peanuts and a bag of Dorito's. I lost control of me. I ate a couple handfuls of peanuts and didn't feel any restriction, then ate a few Dorito's. Still no restriction. And of course, my husband was starved and kept eating peanuts. Then 30 minutes later he wanted to go get something for dinner. We got some California rolls and yes, I had head hunger, I ate the insides too. Then when I came home, I made some Chili. It was really good, but did finally reach some restriction, but too late, I was too the brim. It was back to where it was sitting in my esophagus. I hate when this happens. I know that I have had periods of deprivation because my husband doesn't admit to when he's hungry because he doesn't want to buy anything when he's out. Then I react by getting frustrated because I'm hungry and he doesn't care. It's a vicious cycle That was a double whamy. I had to ask myself how I got out of control. LOL I will always be prepared with a Protein bar in my purse. I just need the discipline to redirect myself. I hope this will get easier as time goes on. There is no reason To get to the point where I was, period. Sorry about my rant. But I think we all have things we will need to work on.

Wow! What A Moment
This is a fantastic NSV! I do have a question for you. When was your surgery? I remember reading something from you very recently that you had just had surgery? Maybe it was an old post? I'm feeling somewhat confused. Thanks

Social Eating
This is totally amazing. I just realized that I have only eaten out with people who know that I have the surgery so I can't really speculate on how I will feel. On the other hand, I would like getting some free meals though LOL. You did a terrific job! Congrats!. I do love ordering a meatball sandwhich without the bread! It looks beautiful on my plate when it comes covered with marinara sauce. I do miss eating the bread, I was such a bread lover. Now I'm fearful of even eating it. LOL

I Am More Than Just A Weight Loss Surgery!
Your friends really love you alot and are trying to wrap their head around this procedure we've chosen to do. It is still frustrating to have this be the topic every time your together. I are with longer-life, change the subject or tell them in a nice way that your over the talk about the surgery your going to have. You are doing really good. I just realized that I had changed my view about food before my surgery. I was totally eating less portions and alot more happier and my transition after the surgery was relatively easy. Very grateful for this transition. Hope my belief about food stays. LOL ') Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!
