Mean Platelet Volume (Mpv)

Does anyone have above average platelet volume. Got my blood work back. I am Vitamin D deficient, but so is everyone that doesn't live in Florida :) Everything else looked good... High Salt...and Large Platelet Volume. I have been looking on line and can't seem to find much. If there were something else wrong with me than it might be something...but because everything is normal with the exception of the MPV there is nothing it could stem from. Just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone else ever had this.

I've never even heard of it. There's something called Mean Corpuscular Volume (MCV), is that what you are talking about? Or platelet count? Is there an actual number attached to this?

What did the doc say? It could be a minor infection going on. It could be nothing. Really interested as to what your doc said. ;)
