Super Saturday Weigh In
Today is such a successful weigh in. I am finally, and I mean, finally in my 140's! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I officially weighed in at 149.1 this morning. I am so happy. I will have to remember not to jump on the scale until next Saturday so I don't see any bounce. That is basically a 1 lb loss since last week. I'll take it.

My First Disclosure...
I told my family and bf and SIL and there she had told everyone else. Love the telephone line theory. My nephew asked me how I was losing my weight and my SIL told him I was eating healthy and I added in that I had WLS. I really don't care what people think. But if my story can help someone else, then why not share. It's my choice and boy am I really happy about it too! I love how I look and feel right now.

Single Incision Sleeve Gastrectomy
I got 6 incisions and they weren't that bad. I can't imagine what 1 incision will look like but am very sure that incision site will end up in your belly button.

Trying This Again!
If I could do this, so can you! This is the scariest thing you will ever do. This is a decision and unlike other surgeries that we had in the past, this one is scariest because we don't know the reality of how effective this procedure is for losing weight. We have all lost weight in the past just to gain it back and felt like a complete failure. This time it will be different! You might be a little slower to drop the weight, but you will and you will enjoy your new found skinniness when you get to goal. I love my skinniness and will always watch what I eat. Still have to eat a healthy diet, but that's ok, I have my new found skinniness that keeps me going.

I Hate Food.
I know it's really hard, but to get your metabolic rate to speed up, you really need to take in some calories. Look at food as energy for your body to help you function more normally.

Loose Tops Or Tight?
They might be tight now! But not for long! My bra didn't really matter as much as my pants. I didn't want the waist band to rub against my incision sites.

Not Feeling So Well
The hardest part of this journey is getting in liquids. It is work. I wake up in the Am and I'm dehydrated even when drinking alot of fluid the day before. So I just keep drinking. I have the same feedback from my body for hunger or thrist so I try to drink first, then after 20 minutes I might eat something. When hydrated, I'm not really hungry. Keep up the hard work!

Lesson Learned The Last 2 Nights..
You still need to sip your tylenol with cod. Take it slowly and you will be fine. We all learn our lessons the hard way.

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Write about your anger and frustrations, sadness, feelings of self worth, feelings of depression. What ever comes up and then have a funeral for those feelings. I personally would burn the paper or vision putting it in a big hot air balloon and the balloon lifting off, watching it until it disappears in the universe. Start walking some if possible. Believe me, you have done so great! The rest will come off and if not, then look how beautiful you look! Stunning!

Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
Coops ~ the doc was saying that it is most likely psychosomatic in which case GT is absolutely correct. Instead of food, started writing a journal in how your feeling and you can also do some journaling. That's where you start writing anything and everything that comes into your thoughts with monitoring it. It doesn't have to be correct. it is a way of expressing yourself and getting it out. Most times as a therapist I recommend exercise, but you have pain, so that's not an option. Just keep talking to Steve..... Keep it up and thanks for sharing. No, I have not gained any weight from my Mirena thank goodness. I don't even know it's there.

When Were Able To Drive?
Within a week. Wanted to make sure I was off my pain meds. Started going up the mountain which is a 2 hour drive from my house. Had to stop and walk a little to prevent blot clots.
