  7. I struggled with this also. I now mix some low calorie Gatorade with water and am able to get a lot of fluids in that way. I was really struggling with plain water bc it would not feel good in my stomach. So I had bought a Gatorade at the store and wow, within a half hour I had rank the whole bottle. It felt good and now I don't have any troubles with getting my fluid in on a daily basis.
  8. Hummmm, I might try these on my hubby! He's always hungry and eats like a horse. LOL. Thank you for sharing this. How much weight have you lost and when were you sleeved? I am 9 months out and surprised on how much I can eat. Are you at goal? How did you know when you had reached your goal if you are at goal? I find myself waffling back and forth with my goal. LOL
  9. to hear your going to have surgery to remove your gallbladder. It will feel nice to be back to normal really soon with no pain and throwing up. This will help you stay on a healthy diet also. The Up side, you will have a beautiful, healthy, sexy, body! Oh, and a lot of confidence to come!
  10. Today is the first day of your journey to skinniness! Yep, it is a transformation about to take place. Gods speed!
  11. I love to eat nuts! Especially cashews. They are so delicious. Of course we need to eat them in moderation. Great protein by the way.
  12. It does feel good when we're losing weight.
  13. This sounds really painful. Hope it gets better for u.
  14. I was really bad about exercise. I would park further in parking lots and I did go to the gym a few times. I really wish I would have exercised for at least 30 minutes a day.
  15. I lost about 50 lbs in the first 3 months. After the 5th month, my weight loss really slowed down. I was getting close to goal. Still am working on losing a couple of lbs still.
  16. Is it abondigas soup? I love this stuff!
  17. Good job! If your PCP had told you to try a new diet, you would have went to another PCP no matter how difficult it was for you. I love asking for what I need!
  18. My surgeon used a 34 bougie and sometimes I can eat a lot. Can you ask him to use a smaller size bougie? Be proactive if you can. However, either way, you will lose weight.
  19. It can still happen. It's just taking them a little more time.
  20. Sausage isn't that great for your cholesterol either! To be honest, you are eating so little, your cholesterol is going to come down anyways. We do need a little cholesterol for our brain and other body organs to function. Great job to both of you.
  21. You are woman! LOL It may be time to do some core exercises to strengthen your muscles before doing any strenous stuff. I really have to do this also.
  22. Wow. You look great! One hot Mama!
  23. I had a D&C 2 months before my surgery and wls was not postponed.
  24. Out of curiousity, can you tell us you diet on a day to day basis? Have you talked with the surgeon? Are you exercising? Please let us know. BTW, what are your portion sizes?
  25. Just know that it's ok to ask for what you need, or else you won't get it. You can do this! Plus, you have a bonus of being educated in this field and you know the pro's and con's of wls. You will have no problems with getting a PCP to refer you. Let me know how it goes.
