Does anyone Chew and spit just to get the mental out of the way?
Guilty!! Especially when I was first banded, I noticed when I would cook I’d graze on what I was cooking then say to myself “what the F are you doing” and spit it out. I’ve done the sausage thing as well…just to suck the juices.

Pregnancy in your 30's
I was 37 and 42. I do not suggest waiting pass 40, It's just too tuff on our bodies. Besides the greater chance of the baby developing Spinal Bifida and Down syndrome as we age.

Tried to Talk Me out of the Band
Just think of the anal gas that some of them get...for life. I've heard that they have to wear carbon filters in their underware?

What Happened to Me? Help!
It takes time, Just try to keep sipping, try your best to get more protien and water in. It's amazing how little the body can survive on. At least your not hungry. You still have swelling, that's why you had pain eating. Hiccups are very common for banders, but they should'nt hurt too much. Your still a baby bandster, take it easy.

Preventing Childhood Obesity
We have great schools! In pre-school they're teaching Hunter that juice will keep you short and milk will make you grow. Roxanne is in 3rd grade and even in 1st they were teaching them which foods help to make you think oppose-to sugar rush high fat foods that make you sluggish. I have strict diner rules and serve lots of fish, fruits and vegis. Water is big thing in our house too. All said I'm watching Roxanne develope my body shape and have been buying more organic trying to keep the hormones down. I'm glad my kids are very active, but I'm still worried.

Emily is in my thoughts and prayers and so is you and your family. I can relate, my son was in the hospital for 2 days due to severe pneumonia 2 years ago. Since then he has alergies and when he gets a cold he always gets an infection. Next week he is haveing tests for reactions and I can't give him any claritin, abutrol or flovent for 3 days prior.

Started at 244 on 8/14/03 at 5' 5" and I'm currently 163!!! a size 10, I even went down a shoes size to 8 1/2. It took me 31 months. My goal is 157, it was 144 but it just seems to unrealistic.

What are you afraid of?
I'm afraid of losing my band and getting fat! The more I read and research, the band may not be a life time device. So I’ve been thinking of plan B and how to live without a band if it had to be removed. I live each day for today!

30 months and my band has slipped!
I'm still in shock Kelly, it's gone! Ya after 5 days id be pissed off too I remember your PM asking about your sister and a leak. I have a small band and i feel/don't feel restriction. Ive come to just eat and feel the food go to the band through and sometimes pain...I truly believe band size has a lot to with each person now that i've experienced both sizes. But the bigger size was harder to loose with. I really hurt for you, I know you will be stong and you won't let the demon come back. Best blessing to you Kelly

Insomnia and Lunesta
Leatha,This is me!! I was reading this tread yesterday thinking how Paxil has helped me sleep. I was told to take it just before bed. So back in January I started taking Paxil (only 6mg) then 3 weeks later I thought I'm fine I didn't need it. Then just last weekend I started getting depressed and have anxioty so I decided to start taking it again and I noticed I sleeped all night even when I woke up to go pee, I fel asleep within minutes. That didn't happen last week...I was taking benatril... It all makes sense! I'm not crazy
