Tobiko Caviar Feels Gewd On Mah Sleeve!
My most wonderful Hubby took a pureed lobster bisque and added a heaping teaspoon of tobiko caviar on top. It is sooo good, and it isn't messing with my sleeve at all! (I have been stuck on thick liquids for awhile) Yayyy! If anyone is interested I will pin him down about the recipie.

A Game, And A Bit Of Inspiration...
Let's play a game: 1) Let's group ourselves into months and years, like February '12, January '12, December '11 etc. and put down how much you have lost since your sleeve date. If you aren't the first person for your month, THEN note your weight, and the total lost so far by members who have posted for your month. We'll see how we are doing, and the newer months can see how it adds up over time. 2) So for me: Sleeved January '12. Lost 22 lbs. since sleeve date. (if there was a running total ahead of my post I would add my 22 lbs. to it and post it here) Let's see the lbs lost add up!

Four Weeks Post-Op, 20+ Lbs Down, No Stall Yet...
...and I feel very blessed. I want to share with you: James 5:16 New International Version (NIV) 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. I put this in "Your Gastric Sleeve Surgery Story" because it is very relevant to my story. I hope it is something you can be comforted and inspired with.

Week 2 Foods...what Should I Be Eating?
Allformy4 - thank you for responding. I am on week 4 now but unfortunately I am still on liquids for a yet-to-be-determined period of time. I am in Houston, and my Mom passed away a week post-op. I flew in and tried my best to handle everything, and pushed myself too far. I finally unravelled as I returned home. My last flight I became so violently ill they thought I may have created a leak in my sleeve (it was one of the most turbulent flights I have ever been on). I am recovering and return to work tomorrow. Good to see you are taking care of yourself!

3Rd Week Follow Up
Thank you. They messed up my appointment somehow so rather than set in a waiting room for 2 hours or better I opted to go in tomorrow at 7AM.

Hi...what Shall We Do First! :o))
A used car? It would depend on price range, deposit available and credit, to be honest. Also what kind...research used models just as if they were new. A preowned certified are usually good. BMW, Mercedes, and Toyota, all good. I have guests/business associates in this weekend for the Halloween & Party Expo, and I have to have another barium swallow tomorrow morning. If anyone would be interested in walking around the Halloween Expo, I may have enough tickets to get you in one day. It is a wholesellers event, so it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's a way to get in alot of legwork. http://www.halloweenpartyexpo.com/

Twonderland!
The VGS started as a procedure for people with super morbidity, didn't it? A high BMI should see good results, I would think. If you are over 400 lbs or so and you lose half of your excess weight, that would be about 125 lbs... But back on topic! Yay for twonderland! I am 20 lbs away from onderland, and I am DYING! I cannot wait! You must feel like you are on a cloud!

Tornado Warnings/air Pressure Changes

Cream Soups
Just be mindful of the carbs. If you are concerned that you are getting it smooth enough you can always put it through a strainer and mortar or ladel and that will guarantee only the finest particles go through. If I had not had to step back to thinner liquids my hubby was going to try this with turkey chili and a bit of a weak thai spice, and add some powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury protien powder unflavored. I can't say if it tastes ok yet. A friend suggested making a low country boil, and saving the broth, and mix the broth, the meat, peas, scallops and a little potato with a cream and again some unjury...i really want to try that one! Just remember the powdered protien has to be introduced last, and after the mix has cooled past 130 f. It will denature if it is too hot.

My 2 Months Post Op Progress :) 44 Lbs Lost Picture Included
I cannot even imagine being able to "see" myself 44 lbs down from my surgery date weigh in...it would be the smallest I have been in over 10, 15 years - maybe my whole adult life...way to go and keep it up!

3Rd Week Follow Up
I am down to 219 lbs, but I have to undergo another barium drink tomorrow. They are a bit concerned about my digression to clear liquids. Wish me luck!

What Does A Leak Feel Like?
I see my doctor again today and will address everything then. It seems to still be there occasionally. I seem to get alot of discomfort to the point of pain right in the general stomach/lower liver area now - i burp soooo much. Heartburn too. Still very sore but also been crying alot. I try to avoid it but its impossible.

Zombie 5K!- Omg ( As Posted By Pookeyism)
It does seem like fun. I have not done anything like this in ages - basically you have a belt with flags like flag football and if you have any little bit of a flag on when you cross the finish you survived. Dodging will be difficult abut doable - harder to dodge without even touching like you can in flag football! The biggest decisions I guess will be what wave to run and whether or not to set up a tent in the camping area. Probably nay on the tent I would be okay with it but Hubby will want a warm bed, a shower and very possibly another day for Austin before we head home. It hasn't set in but he IS running too! lol.

Returning To Work
Thank you all. The bereavement leave would just about be over, too. It was Wed. before last. I will discuss it with my doc tomorrow and if he refuses to keep me off any longer I will go to my PCP the next day and go from there. As is I was not informed of there being any problem with being allowed any extra time if needed until Friday as I was getting ready to board a flight home to Houston, so I have not been able to get a PCP appointment until Wed. My immediate supervisor and I have been in a strained relationship since I told him I was having surgery. Well, actually he feels I have had excessive mourning days in 2011 - my Grandmother passed away last January, my Grandfather in October and my godchilds Grandmother in May. I only took a vacation for the latter but he really was ticked off. With that said I usually work a 10 hour day, and get it OT on the weekend to the point I most often work 60 hour weeks. Ironically, if the work situation were better, and I had any reason to believe I would be offered any way to not have to move around ALOT, lift heavy objects, run back and forth to chase down my warehouse guys who will not respond to repeated messaging, and a whirlwind 2-3 hour end of day crunch to get paperwork and the like ready for assigning export forwarders (warehouse is allowed to turn in paperwork hours late daily) I might could return. When I go over it and think of everything I woud go through (my boss never expressed any sympathy to me for my Mom's passing) once back, I know I need more time. I need to be able to go back in at least to a point to be sharp enough to give my boss tit-for-tat.

Hi...what Shall We Do First! :o))
No further responses yet, but we will give everyone a few days and go from there - this is harder than the forum because we have to do it in real time. NIN - Do you have anything you would like to do?
