Shirley how would I get my doc to fill me under the scope first time I have heard of this

same here on my first fill i was fine until 2 bites of cottage cheese in broth and that did it i had to be drained and today went in for second fill scared for when i do try food

I would go back to doc and get a little out don't wait until something gets stuck like I did and ended up in ER to be unfilled

are you kidding 18 pounds is great congrats I know how hard it is when the scale doesn't move but whats harder for me is having no restriction hungry all the time but I m not going to let it make me eat I will keep praying for green

it takes some time and hit and miss on this site us older people don't know how to do all the thinbgs that the youngsters do on here but i have found if you go to the newest posts and ask you are more apt to get a reply good luck

wow good for you my knee also fell apart after loosing 30 pounds i guess all the walking am considering knee surgery what were your complications?

your playing russian roullett if youy ask me and I am someone who has been there and ended up in the er i would do EXACTLY what your doc told you nothing more nothing less

just do what the doc tells you and do it by the book or you might be sorry

I got stuck last week and i know your pain go on instant chat the oldies will give you advice hope it works it didn't for me but I was really stuck

i went and had my first fill yesterday I came home seemed fine ate some egg beaters then at dinner time I started my meal off with 2 half bites of cottage cheese at 5 I knew I was stuck but thought how can c cheese in that amount get stuck ended up in er at 9 and suffered until a doctor who didn't know anything about lapband had told my doctor he did all they could do and i was still in massive pain 6 hours later so my doc instructed him on phone how to un fill my band and he did and i was home sleeping in a hour what the heck does this mean I will never be able to handle a fill it was only 3 cc and now today I am back starving again any advice from someone who might have had the same thing to them THX.

diddo it was a fight to the finish for my insurance to approve me had to appeal it twice and then my doc did some kind of magic and got me approved that was the worst since my band on nov 15th. I have lost 19 pounds give or take but 2 weeks before band lost 10 give or take to get my BNI were it had to be and this week lost 0 so i just got my first fill dont give up its totally worth it and it will happen for you too

I think having that medication on hand is a good idea i m going to ask my doc

be somewhat thankful for nausea beats starving hunger any day of the week for me and yes this is way harder than I thought it would be too but I just got my first fill and ate a little and feel satisfied not mentally of course but that is a mind addiction with food we all have that are obese x mas was hard but got through it with a treat of diet hot chocolate with whip cream on top nutritionaly not so good but mentally was the bomb now how do I quit that addiction its always something and always will be atleast this tool makes it so you have to be somewhat good and if you really want it to work the rest of it is up to us

well I just got my first about a hour ago I didnt eat before my appt. so I was starving when I got home so of course ate my first 2 bites to fast and wow I feel restriction again before my fill I could have ate the whole plate and felt nothing but the fill worked I am back to being careful with every bite I put my plate down because I was scared of a stick but I know I ate to big of bites and to fast so glad to feel something besides hubger, as far as the needle it was pretty painless for me on the first poke but because he had to take some out because water was uncomforble the second poke I felt but no big deal so hope this helps you be at ease somewhat and know maybe eat before you go if u have a am appt.

Hello thought I should let ya know my progress well got the band on the 15th. and as of today 31 pounds total loss about 7 or so not sure I lost before getting banded, who cares when its a koss and thats what counts, had a hard time over x mas and I go into doc tomorrow for 6 wk visit and hoping I get a fill cuz I feel like all I want too do is eat and havent lost anything for a week have been walking even though my knee is killing me going to c ortho next week hope they can help anyways just wanted to give a up date HAPPY NEW AND THIN YEAR TO ALL Jane

my doctor says throwing up is the worst thing for the band slipage and erosion so now I m scared to eating anything thats not totally pureed in my mouth and still had a stick on cream diet jello pudding and I haven't had a fill yet weird but I m loosing and thats what matters

my primary doc got the ball rolling for me with a referral to a lapband doc in my area and the ball rolled from there it was a long year battle and big challenge with the insurance co. but I won and was banded nov. 15th.2011 and i am 18 pds down and feeling great so take the plunge you won't regreat it and the babies will be able to roll on the floor with a healthier mom
