Good Tuesday Morn, Vi's~~ Regular day here today... work, errands, kids' activities... My lip is down to only 2x regular size, but it still hurts like the dickens + now has blisters & peeling... lovely! I told my son it was burned & that it was the only part of me that burned & he said "That's because it was flapping around in the sun all day!" ha ha... little stinker... what is he implying? that I talk too much? moi??? Laura... that outfit looks great on you! Congrats! What a feeling!! Purple power for your dd, Denise! Hi Jen, Pam, Terry, Haydee, TracyKS, TracyK, Suzie, Janie, Kat, & Judy!! Oh, Janie! Guess what!? I FINALLY mailed out your gum to you!! It went out yesterday. Make it a great day, Vi's!

TracyK... yes, that IS a mouthful... I always tell the gal that it shouldn't take a paragraph to order my coffee! lol! but it's so yummy & not that bad for me... Judy... GREEKTOWN! I loved that place when we lived in MI. I love love love Greek food. Dessert... 2 sugar-free all-fruit frozen pop thingies... 30 cals each... G'night dear Vi's... Oh... any thoughts on a possible Fall Vi gathering?? I'd LOVE to see you all again!!

My eating today so far... b'fast: vanilla chai protein shake lunch: the tops off of 2 slices of greek pizza (cheese, a few tom slices, a few olives, a few rounds of onion) snack: venti iced skinny cinnamon dolce latte ('Bucks) dinner: 3 oz rotisserie chicken; caprese salad; 4 olives water = only 2 glasses so far... exercise = nada See Tracy K... I'm not lying... I'd NEVER lie to a Violet, let alone all of you all at once!!... and it is making me accountable to me... which is making me feel awkward but which also is good & cathartic for me... having to type it all out... wowza... so no more hiding from myself... you can do it, too!! I want a wii fit, too!!

You can do it, Tracy!! You've tasted all that rally food before so you know what it tastes like & you know where it got you & you know how to make good choices AND YOU WILL!

Here I am! Sorry gals... ended up going to the beach for the weekend at the last minute -- what fun! My bff (since we've been 10) and her whole family (sister, bro, mom & dad & all their families) (these folks were my 2nd family growing up) rented a honkin' house @ the beach & invited ds to go along w/them for the whole week (as a pal to hang w/their oldest son, cuz' all the other cousings/siblings are little) so then dd & I tagged along for the weekend (much to ds's dismay! ha!). Anyhoo... I spent the last 2 days on the beach... & this morning I woke up w/the WEIRDEST THING... my bottom lip (not the top, just the bottom) is SWOLLEN like 3x it's normal size!! It hurts, too! Maybe it got sunburned?? I look like that cartoon character from the Fat Albert cartoon... the one w/the big lips who couldn't speak properly! HA HA HA! There are no bumps or anything... just big & sore... it looks like it could pop any minute... really weird! I keep putting Burt's Bees chapstick on it... Water, water, water, water... I'm so far off track I think my track has grown over & will need Indiana Jones to find it again! Yikes... Make it a great day everyone...

I used to take the kids to one here for different kid talk things... they could touch stuff and learn about animals... + maybe a planetarium or science center?... or zoo?... TracyKS... Good Morn, Vi's~~ Had the big PTA budget meeting here last night... 3 hrs of fun!... now we have lots to follow up on & get going with before school starts in a MONTH! Just lots of running kids around these next couple weeks... at least August we get into a kind of routine w/activities (yeah, EVERY DAY is a routine, right??)... ha ha... + work... So I'll pop in when I can... Smooches!

Note to self: Avoid the Verizon store on Saturday afternoons! WOW is that crowded! If only ds hadn't dropped his phone into the toilet this morning... splash...

Good Saturday Morn, Vi's~~ Just got in from another "Breakfast @ Wimbeldon" tennis outing w/ds... so much fun!... and exercise!... who knew? Busy few days... will check in when I can... thinking 'bout you all!! Judy -- ADORABLE outfits... my mom made lots of outfits for the kids when they were little... I treasured them!! Oh, & I thought of you (more than usual) the other day because for some unknown reason they gave the temp in Alpena on the weather... ha ha! Terry -- The mind is amazing, isn't it? Hey, b'fast w/the Queen sounds good to me! Suzie -- What luck! The pool is finally in & now you've got to work nonstop!! Ack! Pam -- Are you un-jet lagged yet? TracyK -- I haven't gotten those cookbooks in the mail yet... I will!! Janie -- Same w/your gum!! (I'm the worst mailer!! I always have good intentions!!!) Laura -- I have absolutely no advice for you for studying, especially that really hard memorization stuff that all sounds the same... sorry!!!... but will send all my purple power to you to get you through it w/flying colors! Thanks for the great feedback, Laura! My son was reading over my shoulder, and he kept saying, "See? See? I wonder who else told you to sell them on ebay?" (he did, obviously!) Too funny. "How quick can you knit those things." -- ahhhh. that's the rub! Definitely not quickly enough to make a decent hourly rate! HA! But... I figure if I'm just doing it in my "spare" time... on car rides to the beach or at soccer games or at the pool or while watching tv... then anything is better than nothing... right? (this is my rationalization!!) I can style these anyway I want... I could easily to one w/an extra-long handle... which color do you like??

Uh Terry? That's EXACTLY the point... a NON SCALE Victory... no scale involved!! C'mon... there's gotta be SOMETHING... Yay TracyKS!! That certainly IS an NSV!! Hey gals... remember that market bag that I was knitting in TX?... well, I've made up 6 different ones (different color combos of the varigated yarn) and I'm going to take them around to some shops downtown this afternoon & see if I can get some orders for them to sell! OMG, just typing that gives me butterflies in my tummy! But everyone keeps telling me to try, so... I guess we'll see!!

Good Thurs Morn, Vi's~~ It's only 9:29am and I've already had an AMAZING NSV!! DS and I purchased cheap-o tennis racquets & a bag o' balls yesterday and this morning he woke me up & we went down to the park and "played" tennis for an hour!! AND... he was actually impressed that I knew what I was doing and could hit the ball (me, too, come to think of it!!)!! I had sweat pouring... & I *hate* sweating!... but I liked it!! It's been YEARS since I've hit a ball... and I realized that a year or so ago I wouldn't have been able to do that... and I was happy & proud & MOTIVATED to CONTINUE the journey that I've been "pit-stopped" on for awhile now. Everyone think of at least one NSV for this moment... c'mon, you can do it!! & share w/the group.

I'm back, Vi's~~ We're home from NJ but left dd there for some special granddaughter time w/her gparents. First time ever! She'll come home on Friday. It feels weird not having her here! ((TracyKS)) I can't imagine... Phone is ringing... how do they know we're home?... bbl...

Good Morning from New Jersey, Vi's~~ Oh my gosh... I'm on my MIL's computer and she has it set at like 500% enlargement! Everything is so BIG!! Too funny!! Just hanging out... the boys went to the Philly's game... I'm actually going to do some work that I brought w/me... one of the perks of working for myself... I can do it whenever, wherever! Tuesday is back on track day for me... I was good for those few days awhile back... & then it was my birthday and then this and that and now we're here where all they do is eat & then plan the next meal (seriously, we just finished up a huge breakfast of bagels & lox, etc. & now my FIL is in the kitchen working on dinner!!)... so Tuesday it is. I can't wait to see the pic of Suzie floating in her pool w/a big 'rita in one hand, waving w/the other, w/a big ol' smile on her face!! Make it a great day, everyone!!

TGIF, Vi's!~~ Working this a.m., baked some zucchini bread w/all the zucch I have from the farm (1st time & it stuck to the pans a bit on the bottoms, seems to be very sticky, note to self: pam w/flour!) to take to the in-laws this weekend, then pool w/dd + friend, then down to watch ds play in the jazz camp finale tonight... phew! We're going to visit ILs tomorrow - Monday... I'll be able to check in from their 'puters, tho, which is good! Laura... that is SO COOL!!! I feel the excitement! TracyK... I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that I think I may have some kids' cookbooks/lunch idea books and that I will be HAPPY to mail them to you!! Especially when the kids were younger, I'd always do cute stuff... I still cut dd's sandwhiches w/a heart cookie cutter from time to time... Janie/Judy... the wii idea has been bubbling @ the back of my mind for xmas... TracyKS... keep going, girlie!! You can do it!! 178 here you come! Terri... how's the face coming along??? pics?
