    Sleeved Twice??

Part of my thoughts have been....okay your surgery was successful....no complications or issues. So what caused the weight gain has been my first question of course. I really think it has been a combination of things, but I can honestly say it hasn't been from overeating. Stress, getting older, lack of time to be more active. I'm sure that doesn't sound believable, but it's the truth. So how will being resleeved help? I guess I just want a second chance to get and KEEP it right. And it's funny, because I remember doing the Pre-Op diet and saying to myself...this is all mental. You can do this and not even have the surgery. After surgery we all know that its STILL work, but it's all mental and breaking bad habits. So as I'm typing this and giving myself a reality check....it may very well NOT be the surgery that I need.

    Sleeved Twice??

You are exactly right! My focus right now STINKS. It's like I can't get my head in the game and maybe...honestly...just looking for a quick fix. Smh. I know, I know that's bad. And what also stinks is that a big problem is that I DON'T eat.

    Sleeved Twice??

Thank you! Yes It does say Lap Band...and I'm totally confused why. It also won't let me edit it. The Sleeve has been my only surgery. I actually mentioned to them about being re-sleeved and they said it was a possibility. My first consultation is not until December. At that time they may suggest something else. One thing is for sure...I definitely still have a little restriction...not much. And drinking and eating is still a no-no.
  6. Has anyone been re-sleeved? I was sleeved 06/29/10. My highest weight was 343 and I dropped to 211 in less than a year. Unfortunately, after that year my weight started to creep back slowly. First 20 pounds, then 30....now I'm back up to 272 pounds!! I always told myself that I would never go back to where I came and from and look where I am. I spoke to the Bariatric center here in Charlotte and they explained that being "sleeved" again is actually an option. I had such an effortless great surgery in 2010 and I'm curious if there will be any risks that are greater now.

    Sleeve To Bypass

Ereka...don't get me wrong. I think getting sleeved was a very good decision. I do NOT regret it at all. I'm more disappointed with myself, because all of the discipline and determination I had in 2010 has somewhat been taken over with other issues in my life and I have not remained strong. So just make sure with ANY surgery that you mentality is together. I'm a firm believer that if you are not ready to change before the surgery, then it's going to be extremely hard to change afterwards. I lost 105 pounds at the most...I've gained 40 pounds...as the others were saying that's not as bad as I think. I just have to get my discipline and determination back. I wish you all the luck and blessings.

    Sleeve To Bypass

Thank you! And it's funny, because deeply I know what you said is the BEST thing to do...just get back to the basics. I think I need to work on mental...once I get that together...I should be okay. Thank you!

    Sleeve To Bypass

    Hey...what is a DS?
  12. Hello All! Has anyone had the sleeve and then decided to get the bypass???? I've been seriously considering it or if anyone knows of any other options, please share. I was sleeved on 06/29/10 and at first I lost 102 pounds and I looked great...but now I've gained almost 40 pounds!!! And I'm feeling almost as depressed as I was at 335 pounds in 2010. Any suggestions would be great!!!

    Failure?

Does anyone know how we can get access to those shakes and puddings that we had to eat in pre-op?? I would love to just start back there again....

    Failure?

OMG!! I swear you just wrote EVERYTHING that I've been going through!!! I most DEFINITELY can say I know how you feel and what you are going through. I was sleeved 06/29/10. I weighed the heaviest before surgery at 331 pounds...and I lost in a year a total of 102 pounds.......I have NOW gained back 35 to 40 pounds and I am miserable!!! I don't know which way to turn. I've tried meetings, crash diets just to get me back in the swing and nothing is working. What I realize though is that it's all mental. I've been trying to get myself to go back to that mindset and discipline that I had to do everything right with the surgery, because I was so afraid of messing things up. That is the ONLY way (in my opinion) that we can get back on track. I am so willing to help you if you help me and we can be a support system. Anything to help. You are not out here alone...believe that. I am looking for answers just like you. Someone to please help. But if I can be of any encouragement on those hard days I will definitely be that, because I understand where you are.
