Wow, I am soooo impressed!!!! Go you!
  2. I'm so sorry to hear you are going through this. It does happen sometimes that it's kind of rough for the first couple of weeks. Everyone is different on this. I found that taking anti-nausea medication made a huge difference in my ability to get down liquids and protein early on. Can you ask your doctor for an anti-nausea prescription? Also, it's annoying, take really, really small sips instead of normal size sips and time them so that you have a few minutes between each sip. That should help hydrate you. The dehydration creates more nausea, so once you get dehydrated, you can get into a vicious cycle. I hope that helps!!!
  3. So, I've felt mostly pretty OK in the last couple of months since being sleeved, but I had noticed slightly more intense premenstrual symptoms. But, recently, I feel like my hormones are really out of control. I feel very emotional and irritable, and yesterday I snapped at my boss! Seriously, if this keeps up I'll be out of a job! Yipes! Anyone have any suggestions for getting the hormone monsters under control? Any suggestions would be appreciated....
  4. Coops, I'm sorry to hear this. I do think hormones are complicated little pains-in-the arse! Personally, I feel like my hormones are through the roof right now, and I wish we knew more about how to regulate them. Hang in there, and I hope it goes well for you!

  17. I think for me, the thing that made me decide on the sleeve was what samantha209 said above. When I asked people on this board if they regretted it, the answer was a resounding NO. I think it can be tough at first, and it takes getting used to. But, for the most part it gets easier and easier over time. Just hang in there, and remember it gets better!!! Really....it does!
  18. While I understand all the reasons not to drink during the losing phase, I'm kind of glad to hear that it's possible. I'm not a big drinker anyway, but I sometimes meet friends for drinks at a bar and at 3 months out, I've been turning down invitations when it involves bars or clubs, etc. I probably will for the forseeable future, but I'm glad to know that I won't necessarily be sick from drinking or unable to have a drink or two.
  19. Hey there, Here are the answers to your questions (inline): Is 1% milk clear or full? Full Cottage cheese is mushy or earlier? I loves me some cottage cheese! Mushy Egg drop, which stage do you no longer have to strain it? Probably during mushy phase (or towards the end of full liquid) SF pudding, which stage? mushy stage Lastly, which stage could I add in SF cool whip to Protein drinks and puddings? During the mushy stage

  21. Welcome back, Globetrotter! Glad to hear you are back in the U.S. and adjusting to life on this side of the world. I know the adjustment can be tough, but you'll get there. Don't worry about the snickers. You are going to be in Onederland soon enough!
  22. Wow, I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to add my congrats! You do look wonderfully fit! You were smart to do this at such a young age! I also think you can really tell that you've been working out!!! Congratulations on your success! Please keep us posted if you do the body-building competition, that would be soooo cool!
