  2. It most definitely gets easier as you get further out from the surgery. Right now, not only can you not have the junk food, you can't have ANY solid food! Once it gets to the point that you can eat some food, you'll find it's a lot easier to just make the healthier choice! Great job in staying strong!!!
  3. YOU LOOK GORGEOUS, LADY!!!! Irene! Not only do you look skinny, you look SO FIT!!! You can really tell on your legs that you have been running! It's so neat to see that your fitness efforts are really showing! It really inspires me to get my workout on :-) Just wanted to say ditto to what Coops said! You are so supportive and such a positive source for me. Thanks for everything you do, just know that you are appreciated !
  4. You look great!!! What an amazing job you have done! Wow!!!!
  5. +1 for the PPI. I take it every day and it keeps my acid levels under control!
  6. Wow, it's really exciting to see what a difference 50 lbs makes! I am almost at the 50 lb mark, and I'm looking forward to taking some pics so I can see the diff! You look just amazing! As someone else said, I can hardly picture where you've got 75 more lbs to go! Gorgeous, lady! Wonderful job!!!!
  7. I've mostly been stalling lately, too! It's such a bummer, but I'm guessing it's something everyone goes through :-(

  10. Awww, i know how that feels! Hang in there! Sending you good thoughts!
  11. I've spent a considerable amount of time before I got sleeved reading all the problems people were having on this board. I've only seen excessive gas mentioned once in all the posts I've read. I'm no doctor, but from what I've seen, it's really, really, really remote possibility. However, run this by your doc if you are really concerned.
  12. these instructions are pretty good: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/12394-technical-difficulties/page__p__106470__hl__ticker__fromsearch__1#entry106470
  13. awesome! I love the Onion!
  14. That is awesome news!!!! And since I'm stalling right now, myself, I'm going to try it as well!
  15. Sometimes what feels like hunger is actually too much acid in your stomach. Do you take a PPI? If not, I highly recommend that. If so, you might want to try a different brand. I definitely feel that feeling sometimes, but it's usually when I've eaten something that kicks up the acid levels in my stomach. Hope that helps! I'm sorry you are struggling.
  16. Sending you lots of good thoughts! Hope you wake up ready to lose!!!
  17. Congratulations Disney Momma!!! Welcome to the loser's bench!!!!
  18. Pinkbabe, I'm sorry you are going through this, and if it makes you feel any better I think a lot of people have a freak out at some point or another. I know I did! The thing that helped me through those first tough couple of weeks was to bear in mind that things would get better, my restriction would be a bit less, and I would feel more normal eventually. At 2.5 months, I can eat most things (in small quantities) and I can take fairly large swallows of Water. It gets better! Really!!! Hope you feel better soon!
  19. Oooooh, I think if you had to wear charcoal underwear to keep down the smell would KNOW it, lol!!!
  20. So encouraging, thank you! I am in a bit of a stall, and this makes me feel better!
  21. I voted that I do have some hunger, but it's really mild. It's more like feeling empty rather than the hunger pangs I used to get. It's pretty easy to satisfy it with very little food, so I really don't mind it. I think it actually helps me to remember to get my protein in, so I don't mind it.
  22. I hear ya!! Stalls are noooo fun! I'm not stalled right now, but it seems like I lose every other week, which can be frustrating sometimes. I think you are just at the dreaded 3 week stall and things will move SOON!!!
  23. awesome, thank you!!!
  24. Nikkey! You look great!! Congratulations on all your success! I, too, love it that exercise is getting easier and more fun! Isn't it awesome how much better we feel?!!! Can't wait to see your report in another 6 months!
  25. Sorry, I missed this post earler, but I had tenderness in that spot (under ribs on the right side) when I went to visit my Surgeon at 4 weeks. He said that there are still internal stitches there so they can be tender. Hope that helps :-)
