I am more than ready to begin a new life. I will be having vsg surgery on 4/18/2012. I feel that I have spent enough years living a partial life. I started gaining weight in my twenties with maybe only twenty pounds to lose at first, but somehow food became my addiction of choice early on. I would lose the twenty only to gain it back plus more and so on and so on until it reached 100 pounds to lose these past few years. I am going in full aware that the sleeve is only a tool and that I will have to put the hard work in and fight my food demons head on. I have a lot of hope that the sleeve will give me that extra edge to fight harder.

I have a beautiful family with lots of support, and I look forward to living a healthier happier life for myself and them as well. With four children, I want to be around for grandchildren one day!
