  1. LOL ankle weights? That's pure win. So I can lose all I want, just wear a little something extra to my appointments. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys! If I really apply myself, I can lose weight fairly quickly. So I'm concerned that once I go on this mandatory insurance-hoop 4-month diet plan that I'll drop quite a few pounds (which is a good thing, only problem is that I'll gain it back). So if I lose enough weight, will insurance say "just keep doing that, you don't need the surgery - DENIED" ?? I'm wondering if I need to regulate the weight loss, and not lose a ton during that time period. thanks
  3. bearwitme: what class are you referring to? The only outstanding items I have are: - behavior modification program supervised by a professional - exercise regimen supervised by a professional Edit: The two above items are part of the Dietitian's program that she puts you on.
  4. Nick Nicholson I assume? From people that have used him before, and had Aetna - what was your total out of pocket cost?
  5. Info from Dr. Nick's office told me: Choice: - 6 month diet plan with your doctor or - 4 month diet plan with a nutritionist Mandatory: sleep test Mandatory: EKG Mandatory: psychologist visit and something else that I forgot. If your doctor's closer than the nutritionist, may be a better deal, despite the extra wait. if you make other appts while doing the diet, earliest is 4 months.
  6. Hey guys, I'm undergoing the horrid process of insurance hoops at the moment, and wondering how long after the surgery were you able to really exercise again? I am an avid weightlifter and normally do an hour on the elliptical (at level 15) on non-weight days. So that's a bit over average for "light exercise". Would I be back to normal in 2 weeks or so? thanks!
