  1. I would think that he definitely intends for you to do oral first...but really you should consult him.
  2. Well, I didn't make my Labor Day goal, but I did just break an almost 4 month plateau...so, maybe I can make this one. If I do make this goal, I will be at 100lbs lost. I am in when the spreadsheet gets created.
  3. I was like widget...liquids in meant liquids out. When I moved to mushies/food, all returned to normal.
  4. Well...PB, from what I remember is peanut butter, so try this Maybe it's a tutorial, I don't know.
  5. THANK YOU! I always just think that the fat is filling in the wrinkles. My face has always been fairly "round". I must say that I don't feel 41 on most days. Before banding, I rarely felt under 60! The abuse I put on my poor body, carrying all the weight was awful.
  6. he had a twig in his belly button.... Oh, and ...Yo momma's so fat that when she hauls ass, she has to make two trips!
  7. I don't have my band adjusted very tight, so I am able to eat pretty much anything I want, just a lot less of it. I have not tried lettuce or doughy bread, but I have eaten everything else I did prior to my surgery. I eat 1200-1500 calories on most days and have a Protein intake of 60-80g. Example: I now eat 1 slice of a thin crust pizza, instead of 3-4 pieces of a large. I eat 1/2 of an omelet and one pancake, instead of 3 eggs, with 3 pancakes and toast (formerly my order at IHOP).
  8. I see that now. :thumbup:I couldn't find what I was looking for on there at first, but then I discovered the forums! That is where the info really is!
  9. WOW, I am sorry to hear about your problem, but that happened to me. I had been banded about 3 months, had lost 40lbs and began having severe migraines at the end of October. I also began having heavier cramps. I DID NOT make the connection. I went to my gynecologist and my uterus was abnormally large. I am 41 and already had two kids, so I chose the option of a hysterectomy. The migraines continued through November and stopped after having my hysterectomy in December. I didn't realize the migraines were hormonal until they stopped after my surgery. Please try to see your doctor to see if you can find a solution. I hope you feel better soon.
  10. Ok, I kept looking on her website and Dotti is amazing. There are forums there that have links to explain everything from how many points you need and how to follow the plan. New Program - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board FlexPoints and other basic information; also Fast Track - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board "Simply Filling" food List, etc - Dotti's Weight Loss Zone Message Board I still think it is better to use the WW website if you can afford it, but with my children returning to high school ($450 just in supply and teacher fees in two weeks), I am BROKE at the moment.
  11. For anyone not able to join yet, here is a little help for restaurant points: Dotti's Weight Loss Zone - DWLZ Restaurants I also was able to download a WW points calculator from downloads.com. I used it to calculate the points of the foods that I eat on most days.
  12. 155....mmmmm.... I must've skipped that weight completely. It isn't even a faint memory.

New, that is a great story. I very often feel someone sit on the bed and then no one is there. It was kind of unnerving when it first happened, but now it doesn't really bother me.
  14. I am glad to hear you are home. Stay on your doses of pain meds and nausea meds as long as you need them. It will help you feel better! Also, move around as much as possible to get the gas moving out!
  15. I am glad to hear you are doing better!
  16. Even if they don't carry your size, they can size you. If they have what you need, try it on, even if you don't buy it. Also, Lane Bryant can fit you, but their bras are ridiculously overpriced as well. You may still buy the boxed bras if you want, but visit either VS or LB and have them fit you. As I have lost, my band size has gone down, but my cup size went up. I was wearing the wrong size until LB fitted me.
  17. I too am a bread-a-holic, albeit recovering. Logan's rolls are amazing. Oh, and the biscuits at Cracker Barrel aren't too shabby either. Ok, if you aren't too tight you MAY be able to eat bread, but let's be honest, hopefully you won't be able to eat much of it. I don't think I could have the Logan's rolls at all now, and I haven't tried. I have, however, had the biscuits at Cracker Barrel. Now, I eat 1 or almost 1, instead of 3 or 4 or 5:sad:. Good luck with your surgery. Hopefully you will be able to get rid of many of your medical problems quickly.
  18. Nope, my surgeon didn't require it. Just no food after 7 (I think) the night before. He felt it wasn't necessary in most cases, and it made it more difficult for people to stay on the post op diet, which he felt was much more important. He did require preop if he felt the person needed it due to weight or medical history, I believe.
  19. I will be totally honest and admit that I eat ice cream once a week. My family and I go to Coldstone Creamery, and my daughter and I split a "gotta have it" birthday cake remix w/o sprinkles. I don't like sprinkles! I can NOT have crunchy pieces of sugar messing with my ice cream experience! Ok, anyway, I eat the ice cream, but it isn't my dessert. I just eat it instead of a meal. Ideally not a good thing, but one day a week won't kill me, and since I eat it instead of a regular meal, I don't go over my caloric intake for the day. My point is, don't worry about it and as long as you don't make a habit of eating a whole quart when you DO decide to have ice cream, you should be ok. Forgive yourself and move on.
  20. It was my surgeon at the seminar that said the exact same thing. I have been ingesting coffee since I was 2 and it doesn't have that effect on me. I can also drink coffee at 10 pm and go straight to bed. Needless to say, I didn't give up coffee at all. I do, however, make sure to get adequate Water in during the day to counteract the diuretic effect of the caffeine. Thank you, Monkey, for that advice!
  21. Tried anything really spicy? I live in southern Louisiana! I love spicy! I used Tabasco sauce on many of my foods and it doesn't give me any problems. Just make sure you will be able to do without any liquids while eating the spicy dishes. Be careful. If you get it too spicy, you may be tempted to drink with your meal.
  22. I am glad you are finally feeling better and on the road to recovery.
  23. Well, when I started my BMI was EXACTLY 50. Now, I am proud to say I am only obese...Sad, that I am excited about being just obese, but I am. My BMI is now 36.8. I was banded a year ago and still have a lot to lose, but I am happy with my progress so far.
  24. I am a teacher and I have to keep my wardrobe appropriate and well-fitting. I went from a tight 26/28 to a 14/16. A LB right fit blue 6T to a right fit blue 1T. I have been constantly buying clothes this past year. BUT I only buy 1 pair of black pants at a time, and I just recently purchased a pair of khakis, from GAP, NOT plus size...unfortunately, I have to take the waist in, because they don't fit well like the LB right fit do. I spend most of my money on tops. I hate my arms, however, and wont expose them. They just FLAP in the breeze. I have a white and a black cardigan that I wear over sleeveless tops and it looks fine. I recently found some really cute sleeveless tops at Cato on clearance for 4.99, so I bought all three styles! I shop clearance and I use the LB gift cheques and Real Woman dollars, which they are giving out now.
