If you could try to work in even a small amount of exercise, it may help. My plateau broke once I returned to school. My eating didn't change, but I NEVER sit at school. I am constantly circulating around the class. I started losing again. Not alot, but I am losing. Although, I must say, it seems my H1N1 has given me some more loss. I don't recommend it, but I think I am down another 2 lbs since Wednesday. I am not vomiting, but I just don't feel like eating. This sucks:crying:- Good News ONLY, Did you lose even 2 pounds post it here!!!
Be careful not to flash the little children:ohmy:. That is why I am CONSTANTLY buying new clothes. I started in a tight 26/28. I have a pair of 28 khakis I taught in before my journey (were tight) and I look like a kid holding up a pair of "grown up" pants when I tried them on the other day. I now wear the LB right fit blue size 1T (started in a 6T). I can also wear a misses size 18, but I have to take the waist in. I wear a 14/16W top. I may not ever really get out of plus tops unless I get a reduction. I can wear a misses XL or XXL but it is tight in the bust. I love my band and the control it has given me over my appetite.- Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
Kat: sorry to hear about DS. I remember getting in a wreck when I was 17 and the other driver was 40. I was ticketed and faulted with the accident. The ticket was unjustified and thrown out. My parents wouldn't fight paying for the accident, although we should have. The accident wasn't costly, but to me it was the principle of it. It wasn't my fault. They just paid it to get it over with.- What can't you eat after you are banded?
My band is not tight, so I can eat most anything, even Pasta, bread (toasted whole wheat) and pizza. I just eat a lot less of it. I do not eat meat that is dry. If it is dry, or reheated, then I have a problem. I have not tried to eat lettuce, but my friend who is banded, eats it all the time. Oh, and for some reason, scrambled eggs seem to stick, so I eat them fried. The key to being able to eat a variety of foods, is not being overfilled. I was banded a year ago in July and I only have 2ccs in my band. I can overeat if I TRY. The key is to put the serving you should have on your plate and eat that. You will be surprised to find that it is satisfying. I eat 1200-1500 calories per day. Some people eat less and that is great for them. That would make me feel like I was always on a diet, and that is not what I want. I love my band and the control over food that it gives me. Good luck in your journey with your band!- Galveston county let's meet
It is wonderful that y'all want to plan something like this. The bandsters from Louisiana aren't very vocal or active on the board. If I were closer, and not carrying the H1N1 right now, I would go. But, alas, I am in Baton Rouge and highly contagious.:tongue2:- I was stuck but now I am really concerned
Stay on liquids this weekend and I have heard it recommended to take children's motrin. It will reduce the swelling. No matter what, you should probably call your doctor on Monday morning. Good luck. Oh, and if at any point you can't keep liquids down, immediately call and get unfilled.- This thing is AWESOME!
Travelingdaddy, you have done a great job! Congratulations!- Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
Hello, Terry. Welcome. When were you banded? Feels like a support group: Hi, my name is Cindy. I was banded a year ago this past July.- I hate it when people post just to post.....
Ebony made the request, so he did it.- Plateau myths?
Breakfast is the most difficult, but I can eat it. I can not eat scrambled eggs, but I can eat them fried. I like grits and sausage. If you like coffee, try drinking coffee before you try to eat. The hot beverage may loosen your band. I have also heard that being slightly dehydrated can cause tightness and sometimes we may wake up needing extra fluids. I am not sure, but on days when I drink extra Water, I can eat some foods easier. If you cant find anything you can eat in the morning, you can always do a Protein drink or just have some skim milk. Also, be sure you really need that fill before you get it. You don't want to become too tight. The plateau will eventually play itself out. Mine lasted a while, but it did finally break.- Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
I know, Mimi. We are being told lows in the 60s by mid week.- Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
I teach 4th and believe it or not, I have a thumbsucker in my homeroom class. Does the thumbsucker get the flu?! NO, the handwasher does. That just isn't right. :scared2:- Plateau myths?
Click on my ticker at the bottom and see the plateau from hell. From April until August:unsure:. It was a pain in the behind. Once August came, my weight slowly started dropping again. Slowly, but at least it is dropping. I remember being this weight about two years after my son was born and stayed there for a year. Oh, and at least I didn't gain any. Prior to banding, the plateau would have sent me on a "forget it then" eating frenzy and I would've packed on the pounds. So, my band is my friend.- Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
It isn't possible to comprehend cold in September where I live. It is still in the upper 80s during the day and mid 70s at night.:scared2:- I hate it when people post just to post.....
Bernadette, sorry about the hair.:scared2: Purple? Oh man, can you really re-color this soon?- I hate it when people post just to post.....
Wow, that was fast...need to remember to get Ebony to ask for favors for me.:scared2:- Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
No, thankfully, no vomiting. I have a terrible sore throat, fever and body aches. My chest also is hurting, if it gets worse, I am supposed to go to the ER, since I am asthmatic. I am taking tamiflu, so I expect it to clear up quickly. I can't stay away from sick people, I teach:rolleyes2:. Hand washing is the only thing that kept me from getting it the first 6 weeks of school. Yes, we have been in school since the beginning of August!:scared2: Each week we have at least one in each class out with it. Now, it is myself AND one of my students. I hope to return to work on Monday.- I hate it when people post just to post.....
I am so sorry. I will send prayers your way.- Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
Everyone seems to be doing great. I still have not joined WW, but I do journal my foods daily and I started losing again since school started at the beginning of August. Melly: congrats on the milestone! I also read and commented on your blog. Oh, and I am at home during the middle of the school day because I have the freaking H1N1 flu!!!!:scared2: It is the sixth week of school and I really thought I had dodged it, but alas, no. I am sick as a dog!- Rashes????
It sounds like a yeast rash like the previous poster stated. Most of the above mentioned things will help, but I suggest you let your doctor (pcp) look, so he/she can start documenting it. If it continues, you MAY get a portion of PS paid for in the future after your weight has stabilized.- Biggest Loser Fall 09
I got on the Tara bandwagon early when she won a challenge/phone call home. She gave it away to someone who wasn't on her team, because he had children. I also liked Mike for giving his food for a year to the mom who needed it. It was his DAD that kept me from voting for him. This season, I am leaning toward Dan and Abby also.- I hate it when people post just to post.....
Ebony: actually, I didn't make the connection until AFTER I had the hysterectomy. I don't know whether or not it was causational or just coincidental, but I had lost 40+ lbs when the headaches started and almost 50 when I had the hysterectomy. But later, I realized there was probably a connection since estrogen and fat are connected and I didn't have the problems until after losing the weight. I don't know what test to ask for, but just ask them if they can test your hormone levels since this all started after losing the weight. Again, I don't miss my uterus, but the headaches were a killer.:scared2: I am so glad those are over. - Home Thread...for the thread homeless :)
