  3. I just want to make an observation.I see alot of people saying they dont drink or eat anything with artificial sweetners, but they cant drink plain water without crystal light, just exactly do you all think is in crystal light? Its artificial sweetners! Just saying.....
  4. I just staryed working out as of this morning, joined a gym $10.00 a month. Cant beat it. Did 15 min on the treadmill, then some of the weight machines, then went to work. The gym is 24_ 7. I need to workout before work,or else I wont do it
  5. I drank alpine punch.i cant drink shakes never ever had any preop either. I only drank that flavor and as long as you drink it very very cold, its not bad.
  6. What kind of pills? I continues to take all my regular medicines, thryroid etc. all my vitamins, supplements are chewables.even my pain meds were liquid right after surgery
  7. Crystal light with water.sobe lifewater zero, vitamineater zero
  8. Hi think it was 3_4 days before I had a BM,and it was like explosive diarrhea,so be warned. Yes you can sleep in a chair I did,it was easier. As far as the drain,I didnt have one so I cant answer that one
  9. I would at least take 2 Weeks, depends on your job. I sit alot, but also get up and down alot.at one point I did stand for an hour.that was the hardest.I hurt after standing for an hr straight.
  10. I didnt like the power pak pudding, but everyone is different and you're right,it is alot, about the size of the Frito lay chip dips in the can. You can by protein shots at most vitamins stores and they have about 42 grams of protein
  11. Most drs I know have you can return to work 7to10 days after surgery,I took 2 Weeks & im very glad I did. I couldnt put my own socks and shoes on til 3 days before going back to work. My biggest incision was very sore. I was only allowed to lift 15 lbs for the first month,so a little more than a gallon of milk, I was exhausted for about the first week going back to work. I am a bookkeeper/ cashier at a grocery store
  12. I agree, just because you advanced to the next stage4 days early is no reason for such hostility. I told my surgeon I had eaten something "earlier" than I was supposed to. His response was did it go down ok? No repercussions?.everyone heals at diffetent rates.the reason for the stages is because your stomach has to learn how to process food again and push it thru to the intestines, which is why raw fruits and especially raw vegetables are allowed last, this is from my surgeons mouth. So I think this thread has run its course people lets move on
  13. That a few people have died because 4 Oz of protein a day is not enough.and you are very hungry while on hcg
  14. HCG is a hormone that is injecTed into your stomach, this along with a very low calorie diet helps you lose weight pretty fast, but we are talking 500 calorie diet onlu 4 Oz of protein per day and a very strict select foods you are allowed to eat. My surgeon just told us at our support group
  15. Every Dr is different, and you should follow their instructions. My Dr didnt require a 2 week pre op diet,I ate regular food untl the day before surgery,I did do 2 Weeks post op of liquids, but then again I was never hungry and I did fine on the liquids, all im saying is do as your Dr says, but ask him can I do this or can I do that.you really should do this cuz you dont want to end up in the hospital
  16. I have BCBS of Az its a ppo.I had to have 5 years of records that showed a weight, could be from E.R. ob gyn, or pcp didnt matter which, NUT evaluation, same for a shrink. any co- morbities were a plus. the day they sent the approval in, they got an answer within 2 hrs.they fastest they ever recieved an approval
