  1. I will be tracking my calories on my fitness pal once I get banded. 70 lbs is an awesome loss!
  2. wishing you lots of luck on your journey! Keep us posted on how you are doing. It will help to keep you accountable.
  3. They look amazing and I will definitely use them for post op but right now there are a lot of things in the ingredients (carrots, bananas, pumpkin, pudding powder) that I cant have on my pre op diet. I can have my Slimtime shakes and in addition an extra 225 calories of steamed asparagus, cabbage, brocolli or cauliflower. No starchy veggies and no fruit . I can add different sugar free flavorings to the shakes like the Davinci syrups.
  4. I got a tatoo two years ago (at 59 yrs). My daughter made me do it I am planning on getting another one when I reach goal as well.
  5. I am guessing these recipes are for post op and not pre op...lol
  6. I went to the orientation for gastric bypass this spring. Decided it was definitely not for me for the same reasons as mis73. I will be banded on October 19th and so far I am not regretting my decision at all.
  7. October 19th for me in Mississauga, Ontario. Went for pre op testing this morning and start my Slimline shakes on October 5th.
  8. I know exactly how you feel! I start my pre op diet on October 5th (the weekend of our Thanksgiving) and I will spending the weekend in Niagara Falls with my sister at an amazing bed and breakfast. My breakfast will be Slimtime not eggs benedict...lol Lately I have found myself eating anything and everything I can get my hands on. Eating seconds and thirds. I have never been like this before. I dont ever feel full. My mind must think I will not be eating anything after the surgery. I have got to stop this way of eating so I can get on track for my surgery and for what is to come after.
  9. there are a ton of success stories out there! Yes, we need to know what could go wrong but there are complications in every type of weight loss surgery. I wouldnt worry too much about it.
  10. Welcome from a fellow Canadian I am in Ontario and am being banded on October 19th. There is a ton of information on this board.
  11. Love your post! I am hoping that I will feel exactly as you do. I am 61 years old and was a little worried about the results due to my age but after reading the posts on the over 60 forum I have decided I am worrying for nothing. Like CarryBrownsville, I too eat all the right things but have a really hard time with portion control which is why I chose the band. Let us know how you make out on this journey. You have a great attitude!
  12. Mine is October 19th. Go for pre op on Tuesday and then start my pre op diet on the 5th of October.

I go for my pre op on Tuesday and start my pre op diet in two weeks. Surgery is October 19th. My goal right now is to lose 108 lbs. but that isnt written in stone. I expect it will change as I continue on this journey. Looking forward to being banded!
