In truth, I could have posted this in almost any of the forums on LapBandTalk but thought I would just start here.

My name is RT. I was banded way back October 2009. I had three fills from the time of my surgery and then my insurance ran out in March of 2010! I had lost about 40 lbs at that time but never felt any significant restrictions. I kept telling my Dr. but he still would do small, incremental fills.

Well - lo and behold, there were several other tragedies to hit in my life over the next couple of years and, needless to say, I regained most of the weight I had lost (stress is a B!tch)!

Finally - this year things started to turn around and I was able to resume my adjustments. I had my first fill since March 2010 on September 11th 2012 and I am glad to say that I have already lost 19 lbs.

I don't know how common this story is but I have refocussed myself and have made a new commitment to get treatments no matter what the cost and stick to a healty eating lifestyle.

Wish me luck - I will keep in touch.

Well, with saying that I think that is the one of the benefits of having the band is that even when we lose track for whatever reason,we can hop right back on that horse and steer in the right direction.

Great attitude! I think this time you are heading for success!!!
