Starting over
EXCELLENT! I need a partner to talk stuff over with (I'm not good at support groups). If you're okay with it - you can email me at bracchus2001@gmail.com and we can keep in touch and motivate one another. Randy

Starting over
Stevee I read your story and it was if I was reading my own. I had my lap band surgery in November of last year and promptly lost 50 lbs by the end of January of this year. But then my insurance changed and I was no longer able to afford the cost for fills so I hadn't been to my surgeon for almost 10 months. Needless to say, I had gained 13 lbs back and was not happy about it - neither was my doctor. It definately takes more than a lap-band to change me...even with it, I have make my mind up to change my lifestyle. Here's what I realized. I want to live. For me. And I have to be selfish about that even if it means never going to lunch with co-workers; not eating whatever the wife cooks. Yes I know these actions do not sound selfish but that's because I'm trying to please others. I have to be selfish about wanting to live for me. I'm going to make this happen and it's not going to kill me. Are you with me? Randy

Onederland is great but I can't wait til 2sday
Hi all - I've read several posts about people who finally make it to "Onederland" (occurs when your weight drops below 200 lbs.) Me personally, I will be just as excited to make it to TWOsday (occurs when you make it to below 300 lbs.) Anybody else feel like me or felt like me when they finally made it to TWOsday? I personally haven't seen 299 lbs or lower since 1997! 10/24/08 Surgery date 378/325/220 Start/Current/Goal

Hey YankeeFanatic - btw I won't hold that against you - you are going to love having this surgery done. I'm sorry for your bad experience at the sleep clinic. Mine wasn't so bad - no picnic mind you - but not too bad. Also, congratulations on getting back down to 305!

Stuck at 50 lbs
Hello all - I have been stuck at 50 lbs lost for about 4 weeks now! I excercise regularly and try to keep my caloric intake at no more than 1200 (which is phenomenal for me). I will fess up though and say that on the weekends I do allow myself to splurge. Of course I can't eat as much as I used to, but I will indulge on some of my favorite things -- half a slice of pizza, half a cheeseburger, etc. Can this occasional indulgence cause me to not lose weight? What's the longest you've been stuck at a certain weight loss and at what lbs?

Okay Men...need some advice
If I can offer my .02... Although the breast/butt comment was a bit direct, I think we can all agree that most men, and most people, look at the cover before they read the book. As superficial as it sounds, looks play a huge role into both sides getting together. BTW, you are a good looking chick and you won't be single for long! 378/328/220 Surgery Date/Current Weight/Goal Weight
